This is basically the same product as the Origins Charcoal Mask, with the difference being only a few ingredients. The basic formula is pretty much the same on both product, as well as their price range. I can’t tell a difference between the two. But the point is that this is a great mask. Does it’s job by refreshing, refining and smoothing my skin. I use it for 5-7 minutes once a week. Makes my skin red/flushed when I “forget” I’m wearing it and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.

This was a “meh” product for me unfortunately. Maybe I just didnt have the regularity of use down! I used it very sporadically!

I’m a big fan of this mask. I’ve been using it for over six months and I’m still on my first tube, so it does last a long time (as long as you use a sensible amount and don’t go hog-wild every day!). I use it about once a fortnight for my sensitive skin, or once or twice a week when my skin is more problematic. It really helps the appearance of my skin and I always feel more confident after using it. I leave it on for 10-15 mins rather than the 5 that the instructions suggest. It does help reduce the appearance of pores, but for me what I find great is that it helps to tackle blemishes but without really harshly drying out my face. It’s also a great quick-fix on your T-zone as a more regular treatment.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product, but I have to deduct one lippy as it’s relatively expensive (even though it lasts a long time), and there are other, cheaper masks that I’ve found to work almost (but not quite!) as well.

I love how well this product works. My pores have never looked better in all honestly. But..and it’s not a deal breaker but, the product has a funky smell. It reminds me of a mechanic shop, slightly. It’s not overwhelming or strong, but it DOES smell chemically and musty.
The cool thing about this is it’s not exactly a masque, but it functions just as good, if not better as one. It has a very thick, pasty consistency with little exfoliating beads in it. When water touches it the formula instantly heats up, and it’s not just a settle warmth, no, this stuff heats up in a serious way. It made me nervous the first time I used it too, but it turned out just fine. You can actually control the heat by the amount of water you use on your face, a little is a warmth, a dousing of water is some serious heat, enough to feel like you’ve steamed your pores. It only lasts for a moment, so you basically, GENTLY rub it into your problem areas, then splash water on your face to wash it off.
You don’t need to leave it on like a traditional masque, which is not only nice, but convenient too!
I’ve been using this now for two months (I always wait a bit to write reviews on skin care products to see how they affect my skin) and I recommend it to anyone with super sensitive skin or skin prone to breakouts. I personally use it to help keep my pores refined as I am getting older and the lil suckers like to grow with age. I’ve even done an article about this product on my site. It’s well worth the money.

But i tightened a little my skin, yes.

This mask really helps to take the dirt out of your skin. It dries very fast and it’s good to do facial after it. But I think it’s better not to use it every day… cause it’s still a clay mask. I use it once – twice a week.

This mask helps to clear my skin and tighten my pores. I used it almost every day for a week and it didn’t make my skin flake or dry. It dries pretty fast and you only need to use a thin layer every time so one bottle can go a long way.

When i apply this mask on i had this slight tingling feeling, which is good, as i always expect this from purifying mask to know that it’s sorta working there. Dries really quickly and all u need is just a thin layer to get the effect. I think it’s deep cleansing, but not that kind of mask that i want to zap away my pimples and all those. Anyway, overall it’s alright.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been reviewed yet. I notice that the rest of the Pore Refining range has and I think this is one of the best products in it. The mask cleans and tightens up my pores like a clay mask would but doesn’t dry my skin out at all. The directions say to use it twice a week but in this humid summer weather I’ve been slapping it on my T-zone nearly every other day with no ill effects. No flakes or dryness and my skin feels so clean and looks so smooth afterwards. You only need a thin layer to do the trick and the smell is pleasant and hardly noticable. If, like me, you don’t like the drying effect of most clay masks but have combo or oily skin that is prone to clogged pores…this could be the mask you’ve been looking for.
