5 stars all across the board for this one. I’m a huge fan of the original jar version (my HG mask), so I couldn’t resist trying this.
Same as with the original, this mask is fantastic with acne and oil control. This clay mask is effective from mild acne to blackheads to cystic acne. Sometimes I even use it as a spot treatment overnight whenever I feel a particularly large cystic acne spot coming up, and it always nips it in the bud. It never stings (unlike some other clay masks that claim the stinging is proof that it’s working), never aggravates my sensitive skin or the occasional eczema spots. My face is also less oily the next day after using this mask.
I definitely prefer this mousse mask to the original. While the original is fantastic, this one beats it due to the texture and packaging. The texture of the mousse mask is incredibly smooth and light, which makes it very easy to spread evenly across your face. The lightness also means it’s very comfortable to have on, since some masks can feel very wet and heavy and suffocating sometimes. This packaging is also much better than the jar, as it prolongs it’s shelf life by keeping it all sealed, which keeps it from drying out and makes it more hygienic.
I have recommended it to several friends and they have all loved it as well. It’s also very affordable, easy to remove and lasts a while even with regular use. 100% would recommend and repurchase.

I used this after I finished potted version. I prefer the potted version although this is fun to use and more hygienic . This feels like a softer clay , with more watery texture , less drying but also less effective . With the potted version it really calms down my skin a lot but this is just a regular clay mask .

My friend recommended Innisfree super volcanic mask to me for reducing oil and pore but it sounded to harsh for my skin. I never tried any mask before so I bought their color clay mask instead which quite mild and comfortable.
Anyway, I got this from my sister. The difference between this mousse mask and regular super volcanic mask is that this mousse mask uses microclay instead, resulting much smoother, creamier, lighter consistency, almost like whipped cream or meringue.
I read a lot of warning to dispense the mask carefully because it tends to dispense too much if we push the button carelessly, which happened to my sister. It’s really easy to apply all over my face and it doesn’t feel hot at all. I also don’t feel any tingling sensation. After let it dry for 10 minutes, it feels like I applied sand over my face. It’s harder to take off than the clay mask, but it’s not that hard actually. They recommend to wash the mask off with warm water but I’m too lazy so I just wash it with normal temperature water and it goes off quite easily.
After that, I can see my pores are reduced but for a person with combination, normal, or dry skin, this mask might be too drying.
My sister has combination skin and it felt very hot during application. I have oily skin but I still make sure to put serum and moisturizer after using this mask.

One small pump is sufficient to cover the entire face. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to dry and leave your face feeling clean and fresh!
I’ve always applied it using a brush and removing it only takes a couple of seconds.

I love the cooling and tightening feels when I apply the mask to my skin. One minus I want to point out is that you’ll have to take the mask with your finger, which is quite inconvenient because it stucks in your nails very easily.
The size of my pores and the blackheads do decrease even though it’s not really noticable. But that’s not a problem for me as I don’t expect any “magical change” at all.

Let me be the first to rave about this mask.
I’m guilty of possessing more than 10 facial masks at any point of time. And yet when I saw this new product in Innisfree’s window display, I knew I had to have it. I mean, a mousse mask! That came in a spray bottle! How cool was that? Never mind that I had another brand new tub of super volcanic clay mask in addition to my half-used normal volcanic mask.
So I took this baby home and tried it. And goodness, the consistency is a dream. I sprayed a bit of it onto the back of my hand (exactly like whipped cream), then used a soft pack spatula to spread it over my face. The consistency is the smooooothest I’ve ever tried in a mask. It’s so creamy and light, it goes on perfectly even. A little can go a long way, so be careful not to press too hard on the spray button.
In 15 minutes it dries and tightens on the face. After washing it away, I moisturise with the Green Tea Fresh range (as you can see I’m a devoted Innisfree fan). I feel this mask really gives the pores a good cleanout and leaves them smaller.
What I like best about this mask is the packaging. It comes in a bottle similar to a can of whipped cream, with a sturdy cap that won’t fall off easily. Under the cap, attached to the spray button, is this little cover that corks the opening so that even if you press the button accidentally, the cover prevents mousse from getting out. With this method of spraying a bit onto your hand and then taking some from there, you don’t have to worry about bacteria getting into the mask, which is an issue with masks that come in tubs. No worries about accidentally double dipping as well.
Now I think I’ll sell my tub mask and stick with this one.
