Once you start putting this stuff on your face you wont let anything else get near it. It feels so luxurious and smells amazing, havnt tried the rose one may be next time as rose is my fave smell but i like the consistency of this one more, I have tried much more expensive moisturizers but this is the only one so far that I have repurchased and i donot even try to try any others now. I have recently become a student again and I dont know how iam going to keep affording it ill cut down on eating but i cant live without this stuff every morning. Make up goes on beautifully over this. Its not overly greasy just perfect for laying foundation on. Doesnt make the foundation slide and melt. Also its not so light either that it disappears right on application into the skin and your face still feels tight and unmoisturized, face feels perfectly supple and ready for foundation.. I put a teeny bit on my lips too and surprisingly i noticed that my age old habit of peeling my lips has disappeared along with saving me those precious few seconds from finding lip balm and putting it on. My first pot of this was from a deluxe sample offer. Thank you sephora for providing nice size samples that lasted me 10-15 days. Otherwise id never have discovered it and never been hooked for life. I was actually going to buy a drugstore moisturizer after I ran out of one from sephora. This came into my life right then!!!!

First if you have an aversion to chunky particles in a mask this is not for you. I found the large lotus seeds to be a mess cleaning up in my sink afterwards. I like the quick time of 5 minutes. This mask does require to wet and gently emulsify in order to wash off. Left skin well moisturized and smooth. Not abrasive at all. Didn’t aggravate my acne prone skin. No burn or tingle with application, so I’d say ok for sensitive skin types. Just too pricey for a moisturizing treatment.

I have used the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve face cream. I actually kind of liked it because it was a nice, gentle moisturizer, but didn’t understand why it was so highly priced. I was really excited to try this mask which is from the same Youth Preserve line when I received it in one of my monthly beauty subscriptions. This is a creamy mask in a little pot, with seed like granules interspersed throughout. I apply a thin layer; a nickel sized amount seems to do the trick. And then I just leave it on my face for 5 to 10 minutes. Then I massage it off by adding a little warm water at a time, letting the exfoliating seeds work. I WILL say that this mask smells amazing, kinda like cucumbers, making for a relaxing spa experience, and it leaves my skin soft. Beyond that I am not sure what it does better than other moisturizing masks do for a fraction of the price. For sixty something bucks for a jar of this stuff – can’t justify buying it. It doesn’t have any profound effects like my trusty REN Gycol Lactic mask!

It took me a while to go through this. Honestly, this stuff is regular. Nothing special about it. Too overpriced for regular moisturizer. Does absolutely nothing. Get a sample and try it before purchasing.

Fresh’s masks always reminds me of Lush’s hand made masks with a longer shelf life. All of them have natural ingredients like flower petals, nuts and seeds mixed into them. Like the rest of the Youth Preserve line, this mask also smells like cucumbers and has a very light gel-like texture. It’s an incredibly hydrating mask with exfoliating granules that leaves your skin feeling really hydrated and smooth afterwards. This is such a feel-good comfort mask for dry winter days when you’re skin feels a little crappy.
