I was initially disappointed with this mask, but here’s the thing to understand: this is a very old school mask, with a name that’s almost misleading given what consumers expect today. It’s essentially a CLAY MASK with ingredients that make it more suitable for those with dry skin compared to other clay masks.
In other words, it is definitely not an extra hit of moisture and not what my generation thinks of as a “hydrating mask.” However, it will help clean out your pores and provide gentle, light exfoliation. The results aren’t super dramatic for me, but it does make my skin noticeably smoother and somewhat softer/more glow-y, without any ill side effects.
As others have mentioned, this mask has a tingly/cooling sensation. That made me nervous at first, but my sensitive, rosacea-prone skin did just fine. While the mask doesn’t dry down hard as many clay masks do, I can’t tissue it off either. I remove it with a warm, damp washcloth or cotton pads soaked in micellar water.
Overall, it was worth the purchase and I’ll use up my tube. I basically got tricked into trying a clay mask, something I’ve always avoided like the plague since my skin is super dry and I’m not break out prone, and found out that I can benefit from a product that targets my pores. But I’ll probably try something new next time.

I had a girls night and ran out of my usual hydrating mask. I went to get something quick from Marshalls. Either way I wouldn’t waste the 6 dollars again. The mask is scented with rose I think. And I am not a fan of rose smells on my body. It’s a smidge thick and doesn’t feel like it would hydrate but I tried it. I have excema on my face near my eyes and I like to use chanel hydra mask because it exfoliates and hydrates my skin.
This I feel is just for show it didn’t do ANYTHING I’m so disappointed.
I’m going to use the rest of the bottle and let you know if there are subtle changes but after 1 application I didn’t see a difference it claims to have. 1 star and I’ll see about it later

No animal testing!
$3 on clearance at TJ Maxx. I like it for the lovely soft aroma, cool & tingly sensation, and it leaves my face soft as a baby’s rear. It doesn’t dry completely on the face, but I can’t tissue it off as the tube suggests either. I’d buy it for the scent alone! Not a fan of all the parabens though.

I bought this mask for 5/6 euros (7 dollar-ish) not expecting anything from it at all to be honest. I have rosacea and my skin is very, very, very sensitive. It gets red and bumpy very quickly and I wanted to try something new out. The ingredients sounded very promising so I went ahead and give it a try and oh dear, how happy I am I did!
Today is the second time applying the mask this week and it does sting a tiny bit in the beginning but afterwards it feels very cooling and calming for my skin. When I wash the mask off my face feels like I’ve used a conditioner on it. After an hour or so my skin is nearly irritation (red!!!) free! I have a few discolourations here and there but it’s nearly gone!
I might get a few more tubes since they don’t sell them often here in The Netherlands.
I totally recommend it, also for sensitive skin!

got this at tjmaxx for like $7
i had no plans on using it on my face
i use it on my feet at night while wearing little moisturizing socks
and i dont think its a great product at all especially if i had bought it full price from a dept store
its really REALLY thick and chalky feeling – doesnt absorb well, isnt softening
i cant imagine putting this on my face – i have to wash my hands after applying it to my feet because you see a white cast
would not recommend to anyone

It’s has a very cooling sensation on my face (I’m 24yr), not so cooling on my mum (54yr). I can feel some difference on my skin after using the mask, and my pores seem to be tightened. Given the price, it’s really worth the purchase.

This works better for me than more expensive products.
I am older and have dry skin that is sensitive. I highly recommend giving this a try.

I found this at TJMaxx for $7.00, thought I’d give it a try. I have normal skin (no acne since I’m on BCP and use a prescription toner), but — being 40 — am starting to see those cute little ‘crepey’ lines appear, smiling lines, etc… and my face would feel dry at times. I wanted a mask to use a few times a week that would totally drench my face in moisture and make it oh-so soft, while helping with the crepes! The packaging itself is just a tube – when it gets to the end, just squeeze it out or cut the end and use your finger to get it all out. The product is more like a creamy lotion; it does not dry on your face. It smells great, is a light pink color, and gives a cooling sensation while it’s on. I use it 3 or so times per week, and leave it on for about 30 minutes (it says 5 to 10 mins, but I like to leave it on longer). I typically wake up after a good night of sleep with my super-moisterizing night cream, use witch hazel to wake up my skin, then work out on the elliptical for 30 minutes; splash face with cold water, THEN apply this mask. It really soaks in, feels marvelous! Then just rinse off and continue your beauty regimen. I have read others say that this is not for sensitive skin… my skin is the most sensitive out there! Redhead, fair… picky??? But this mask has been marvelous. I went back to TJMaxx and cleaned them out, since they were only $7 a bottle! I reckon in younger ladies or those with acne problems, this would NOT be recommended; but my skin is completely balanced thanks to a great Dermatologist and those lovely birth control pills! The mask is just what is called for, if you want a shock of moisture and that wonderful cooling sensation.
