   I really wanted to love this mask, Origins is such a popular brand with many unique products.  Most of Origins products contain too much fragrance for my dry, sensitive skin to handle.  My experience with their Hello Calm Relaxing & Hydrating Mask was the same- too much fragrance! I did find this mask to feel hydrating and the fragrance wasn’t overwhelming.  I really dislike certain fragrance ingredients- such as citral and geraniol since they can be major culprits of skin allergies and dermatitis.  The directions on this mask say to apply, wait for about ten minutes, and then tissue off the excess.  Instead of tissuing off the excess I rinsed my face, this was mostly to rinse off the fragrance ingredients so in the morning I didn’t wake up with dry and  flaky skin.  This did leave my skin feeling more hydrated, but I wouldn’t repurchase it because of all the fragrance ingredients.    Already on my second tube of this wonderful mask, and Origins isn’t particularly stingy with their product. I love this mask so much — the scent is really calming and lovely and you can just slather it on your face and leave it on forever and then massage the remaining mask in, which makes it quite low maintenance. I can just cover my face in green goop at the end of a long day and not get back up out of bed again to wipe it off. It’s a lovely plant-y green that gives you an old-school beauty routine moment — like it should be best accompanied by two crisp slices of cucumber and a towel updo. It is an incredibly soothing mask — I have a ton of redness and dry skin and a face that resents my 45 minute commutes and the whipping winds of south Brooklyn and this sets my skin to rights when it gets knocked off balance. Buy it to settle out your irritated cheeks, but fall in love with it for the entire beauty experience that it is.
