I picked this up in spouts wandering the beauty aisle. I have never used a clay mask before, love roses and France so here we are. I paid $35 USD for a small jar, which seemed expensive to me, but I also popped up reviews on the phone first! Instructions say to blend a teaspoon of clay with water, I used tap not their facial mist and paint on with foundation brush or fingers. It would be messy using fingers. I have a steam sauna in my house so I steamed for ten minutes, washed my face with La Roche Posay cleanser and then a quick scrub with Southy exfoliating scrub. I mixed the clay and applied with a small make up brush I may make a smaller amount next time as this amount in my opinion did apply thickly. I left on for 8 minutes and then spent another 8 back in the steam, scrubbed a bit and washed off. It did sting a tiny bit as it was drying at first. My face was a bit pink, but that could be from all the rubbing! My skin feels very clean pores look smaller and my face feels softer. It does look a little plumper which may reduce the fine lines I am seeing around my eyes and sides below my cheeks (closer to ears – outside smile lines?) Even my one age spot appears a little lighter. I followed up with Ordinary serums and moisturizer. No adverse reactions and it didn’t smell at all to me. This will go in a weekly rotation for me until used up, I say yes to repurchase but wonder if this will be a summer mask only, not sure winter skin would react the same.

This mask is amazing. It is gentle and effective. It unclogged my pores and Tightens my skin. My face is just glowing after I used it and I only have to use it once a week!

I bought the clay mask set and loved it. The French Rose Clay mask is awesome. From the moment I first used the product, I noticed my skin felt taut and softer than with other masks. Application of this product is easy especially with the clay bowl and the brush included in the kit.

I have sensitive skin and was worried this might cause my rosacea cheeks to flair up, but I was so pleasantly surprised to try this mask to find my skin loves this! Great job at gently exfoliating and cleansing effectively. Normally use this once or twice a week as it’s helping with my clogged pores. Well worth the cost.

French Rose Clay Mask is a clay powder that you mix with water to create a paste. Of all the evanhealy products, this was the one I was skeptical about. I’ve used many masks over the years, a few have been helpful but never extraordinary, so when I applied a thin coat of this clay mask I didn’t have high expectations. I was proven wrong as my skin was clearer and softer than I had ever remembered- save for post-facial smoothness. Rhassoul clay (Moroccan lava clay) lives up to its reputation as a detoxifier, exfoliator, and glow enhancer. I’ve also added a small amount of the French Rose Clay Mask to the Rose Cleansing Milk which augments the milk’s exfoliating action and boosts its lather. I like this routine after a hard work-out or a really long stressful day.

This is the best thing for my dry skin w/ clogged pores that I have found. Mine is sensitive too… i break out with much of everything. This doesn’t “overscrub” but still deep cleans the face. When done after steaming…. AMAZING. after, I use a fruit acid scrub that has teeny(not harsh) beads and then finally cocoa butter to moisturize. I look eighteen again!

I just started using this product a few days ago…my skin is purging and I know this was going to happen 🙁 not happy about it but with long term use I hope to see better results. I wasn’t sure how often to used so I started using it twice a week I used it again last night but I’m not sure if this is ok…I fear I may dry out my skin!?!

I love this clay for my acne-prone yet highly sensitive skin. Because it comes in such a pure form (very little “added”) and dry I can taylor it to whatever my skin is specifically needing that day – think essential oils, toner or herbal tea instead of water etc. At first I thought it was a bit pricey since it’s “just” clay, but it lasts a long time when I use it about every 5 days. Plus, even when I use it with only water, my skin feels so fresh and glows afterwards.
If your skin is very dry or highly reactive (rosacea, eczema) you can still use this with great results, just be sure not to leave it on for too long, and follow with a high quality oil (rose hip?) or butter (shea?). A pinch of clay can also turn a favorite non-exfoliating cleanser into a gentle exfoliator.
One thing to keep in mind – for acne-prone folks that aren’t used to clay, you need to use a clay mask at least once a week for several weeks for best results. Because it’s drawing, you may break out a bit more when you first start using it, but with continued use it’s the best thing I’ve found to keep my skin clear that doesn’t also over-exfoliate with continued use.

This is a lovely basic clay that you mix with water to form a mask.
I like that it smells like fresh clay or earth, not chalky dust.
I think the clay must be finely milled or something b/c it feels very smooth. This feels calming.
