My skin: Combination skin that is slowly becoming drier as I age, while still being acne prone.
The second jelly mask from Lush that I’ve tried, the first being 1000 Millihelens. My main issue with that one was that it was so hard to work with, it wouldn’t turn into a paste. This one is, for whatever reason, much easier to work with – it turns into a smooth and creamy paste with hardly no work at all.
I’d say this mask is in the same family as the rosy cheeks mask and the aqua marina cleanser – very soothing and mattifying without it being drying. I like that it doesn’t crumble when it dries down as I like to kick back and relax for a while with my mask on. As much as I love Lush’s fresh face masks, many of them are crumbly as hell, so this is a nice aspect of the jelly masks.
It’s fairly easy to wash off, takes a little time and water but requires no scrubbing like some masks do. Afterwards my skin looks clear yet pretty hydrated. It’s not a miracle worker, but my skin seems to like it. A nice alternative if your skin needs soothing. The Catastrophe Cosmetics fresh mask will always be my favourite Lush mask, though.

I really like this product and I think it’s good value for money as a little goes a long way. I think you could get 10 – 12 masks out of it at a push. In the past LUSH fresh face masks haven’t agreed with my sensitive skin but the consistency of this is very gentle. It smells delicious too!

This is a really lovely mask, only a small amount is needed to evenly cover my face. After rinsing it off my skin was smoother, skin tone was evened and redness reduced. I have dry, sensitive skin and most products tingle or sting my face but this mask was very soothing. It also has a longer shelf life than other Lush masks.
