Okokok… I’m kind of in love with this. I’ve always liked, but been slightly underwhelmed, with Freeman masks but I fell down a MUA hole the other night (you know how it is) and all the good reviews persuaded me to buy this guy.
I’m with the commenters down below who say they enjoy watching the mask turn from black (freshly applied), to light gray (dry), to black again (oil being absorbed). I often think I prefer entertainment over effectiveness, sometimes!
Thing is, this IS effective. At least on my skin. I have “good” skin (hardly ever get breakouts) but it is oilier than BP tanker spill. My biggest issue is my pores – large, and prone to blackheads. After using this, they were literally sucked dry! My t-zone looked photoshopped! Amazing!
I will say that it was horribly uncomfortable- burned terribly and made my eyes water, and I don’t have sensitive skin, but after it washed off there was no redness or other nasty side effects, and I’m the (immature, reckless) type who thinks “oh, it’s hurting… must be working!”.

Extremely good value for the money compared to more expensive peels or masks. The papaya & guava enzymes remove dead skin and pore buildup and the other ingredients soothe.
Cleanse first. Wet the skin with water, then gently massage about 1-2 teaspoons on. Do not grind the crystals into the skin. Lightly massage on, adding tiny bits more water until all the crystals are dissolved. (Me personally, I leave this on for 1-hour++ all over the face & eyelids, but my skin is very used to retinol & peel treatments. When I’m ready to remove, I lightly massage with water again to rub in, then rinse off.) It smells really good. After it’s off, my pores look very minimized, very clean, smooth, and redness is gone. Adult acne shrinks.
NOTE: If you aren’t used to peels, start off with very short times and work your way up. And don’t put on your eyelids.
Cons: crystals, I wish they weren’t there or just very tiny.

This mask is quite a dupe for the Origins Clear Improvement.
It gives similar results (clean, clear, smooth skin) but at a fraction of the cost.
The texture is slightly different. Freeman’s feels a tad more moisturising on application and does not dry out as much Origins’.
These days I prefer my clay masks not to dry out my skin too much. So I’ll go for Freeman’s.
During the summer months when my skin is oilier, I’ll go for Origins.

Love how gentle it is on my skin and it really exfoliates the dead skin of my face.

So I just purchased my 7th bottle of this magical stuff. I used to have pretty clear skin until last year I started having a lot of breakouts in the chin area, and by a lot, I mean at least 12-15 pimples at a time, and really big ones. I tried basically tens of products and paid a little fortune for Paula’s choice or Mario Badescu’s fancy products, and my acne was only getting worse and worse. Then I accidentally picked this one to try but with little hopes. I had a huge breakout and I applied this twice a day, every day on the chin area, and in 2-3 weeks only the scars were left. No more bumps, no more huge pimples, it was a little miracle. Of course, it helped along with the healthy eating, but honestly, whenever I forget to apply this regularly my skin begins acting up a little bit, but just a couple of pimples, nothing major. Even with those and in that time of the month, this helps to dry them and heal the area, I feel like it’s healing the scars. For me, it made a huge difference and I am addicted to it, it even controls the oils when I apply it all over the face(1-2 times a week). I recommend it.

I absolutely loved this mask! I went through quite a few of the single use packets before deciding to buy the full bottle. It’s fantastic it leaves my skin looking smooth, glowy with noticeably smaller pores and even helps reduce blackheads. I put it on pretty thick and leave it until it’s fully dry. Once it starts to set I can see it “pulling” out the oil from my nose (only part if my face that is an oil slick, rest is normal) and I see a dramatic difference in oilyness. Will definitely be repurchasing,as it has become a staple in my skincare routine.

Hi im from Malaysia!! well, this mask is super good for acne and prone skin like me. Last time, i wore it like every night for 7 days and guess what? My skin was totally good! the acne was not active anymore, and some small pimples were dissapeared. This is my second time buying it and it is very worth it! i would really recomend this for everyone

When my local beauty store got these I was so excited. I was lucky to get them when i did because there were only two left so I bought them, one for me and one for my bestie.
When you first apply the mask it’s really smooth and dark grey in colour. As it dries it gets grey and tight. At that point I leave it on even longer because in the places where I have oil problems aka my T-zone, I see little dark dots, it’s like the mask sucks the oil out.
After washing it off, which takes a while, my face feels so soft and smooth.
I have never experienced any break outs or dry patches after using this mask.

I’m in love with the mask! Ive been wearing it for a few months now and it feels so great. It moisturises your skin afterwards. It also removes the oiliness of your skin especially around your T zone. But one thing for sure, only apply it for about 15-20 minutes. I tried applying the mask more than that, it dries out my skin and my face breaks out 🙁 so yeah, overall I’m just in love with mask!!

This has replaced the very pricey glam glow supermud as my mud/clarifying mask of choice. It isn’t too harsh and leaves my skin smooth and much more even looking.
