First time I used this it did more than tingle and left my face red and ruddy looking. I ended up rinsing it off after a few minutes and put it aside. I do admit I had been throwing a lot of new things at my skin at the time and my skin barrier was a little off due to allergies… now that I am doing better I decided to try it again.
So barely any tingling this time and my face is a little red in places but not as bad as the first time… I am not sure I am feeling any more hydrated than I would be if I did a similar treatment with the Vitamin E Day Cream and did end up layering some of it over the mask, but my skin is dry and often dehydrated. It is possible I just got a higher amount of peppermint oil on the first use as I feel creams that contain a lot of oil sort of settle.
Due to the fact it has peppermint oil I hesitate to recommend this product to everyone, especially sensitive skin types due to a possible reaction to the peppermint oil and ginger root oil, even if you do just fine with the day cream or the all-over cream. I am going to try it on my feet as I know I will do fine with peppermint oil there.
