Meh, I don’t think this did anything for me since I could not see any visible improvements. It might work for sensitive, redness prone types but after a tube, I could not testify that there was any visible difference. Mushroom extracts provide antioxidant protection however this needs to be left on the skin with time to absorb. After 10mins, this started to dry and by 15min, it was really sucking the moisture out of my skin with its crusty like finish. I kept it going with misting but all in all, I would recommend you try this prior to purchase, its very smooth and spreads well, washes off easily.

I love this – very soothing and moisturising. Best used as an overnight mask. It starts off very tingly, but quickly goes away and sinks in. After using this my redness is visibly reduced on my cheeks. Only negative is the cost, it is very expensive but does last a long time so I will repurchase when I run out

I didn’t have high hopes at first…But, the more I have used this product the more I love it and see major improvement in my skin! It really helps reduce some redness with my acne as well as sooth it. Not to mention it is VERY hydrating, and I have very dry skin. I use this twice a week. Origins products have not failed me yet!

My face doesn’t really hydrated after using this, I recommend the overnight mask and 10 minute mask. This one smells unpleasant to me and more expensive than the other 2.
The price tag doesn’t guarantee results, you need to find something that is suits your skin.

Absolutely love how it works on my sensitive/acne prone skin. Yet this product went bad a little way too fast and due to the price I dont think it is worth it.

I found this mask on Sephora and based on the reviews I knew I needed to get a sample. This stuff is great at reducing irritated skin! For us that need to wax/use Nair or other facial creams to remove hair this definitely calms the area. I have sensitive and dry skin with redness (not acne prone, however), and this baby works great at removing 75% of the redness and hydrates my skin after a wax or just when my skin isn’t too happy. Also, makeup application right after the mask is great too! I’d wait maybe 10ish minutes after closing your pores with cold water to let your skin settle after the mask and then you’ll be fine.
The smell, as someone else mentioned, is spa-like and Chinese medicine-y but I actually really like it and I despise mushrooms haha. If you’re unsure about this product, go to Sephora and get a free sample (they have these $5 “sample packets” but I mean…just ask an associate to get a sample from the bottle directly. It’s free and can easily be used for 3 medium thickness applications on your face).
I have a bit of the sample left and I’ll be buying the actual bottle ASAP.

Love Dr Weil he knows a ton about mushrooms he even has a strain of mushrooms named after him. So I trust his knowledge on all things fungi and natural. I like sleeping masks so I figured I’d use this for that purpose instead of just 10 minutes. I apply it as my final step and especially over any zits that are healing. My face gets very red spots because I’m so pale. Well I swear this helps heal them. I get hormonal spots and what is in this helps calm them down or let’s them heal faster. I really like it and I can sleep with it just fine it absorbs really fast anyway, so for me no point tissuing it off.
I wash my face or use cleansing water in the morning and my skin looks so much better! This really hydrates the dry patches and after chemical peels it calms my skin right down. Anything that irritates me I just put a thin layer of this on and problem solved. I really like the scent too. Very earthy and natural. This makes me want to try more products with mushrooms that’s for sure! With natural ingredients some need to be careful but I have no problems with this and I have very sensitive skin. I really love this and tell my friends. Recommended!

I’ve been returning to Origins products and got this in a great swap. I have oily/combination/rosacea-prone skin, and this calms down my redness and hydrates any dry patches I have. It has an herbal scent, quite like the Burt’s Bees French Clay mask, which I also love. I use this whenever I feel I have sensitivity/redness/dryness on my face. I leave it on for 10 mins and most of it will get absorbed on the dry areas. I then tissue or wash off.
For background, despite rosacea, I have pretty tenacious skin and nothing ever (except Murad) breaks me out.

The first time I used this mask I felt a tingling sensation and I immediately thought oh no this is too strong for my sensitive skin. I’m glad to say my skin didn’t react badly to it and that I no longer experience the tingling sensation. I use it once or twice a week as part of my facial regime and I’m happy to say that it has lasted quite a while now so it is worth the money. I’ve used hydrating masks before and find this to be the best. My skin is always soft and hydrated after using it. You are meant to just wipe it off with a tissue and not wash it off. I usually use it at night and there is no need for me to moisturizer after using this mask as I like to let the mask work on my skin overnight. The smell might not be for everyone but I like it as it is very spa like. This product works for me and I use it regularly.

I’ve always wanted to love origins, but their products disappoint so far. I was given this mask as a sample with my purchase of the mega mushroom serum (which I returned later). Immediately after applying it, I felt a strong stinging sensation. Granted that I use differin a few nights a weeks, stinging has never been this bad with any other cream or mask.
The directions ask for 10 mins, but within 2 mins, I could tell my face was completely red and burning. I rinsed the mask off and immediately i noticed how red and blotchy my face was! – the very things that the mask promises to reduce!
Now after another 20 mins my face is still somewhat red from the mask.
I don’t plan on using anything from their mega mushroom line again. This is probably one of the worst masks I’ve tried so far.
