Okay so I bought this product earlier today, usually superdrug masks are gentle on my skin and don’t cause any irritancy. Also, my sister bought this and it smelt amazing! It still does.
The packaging is helpful, it’s fairly straight forward in getting the mask out and onto the face. However, the first thing I realised was that it doesn’t spread very far, I had to use all of the mask to get an even coat over my skin. The mask did cause a lot of irritancy, I knew I was going to be writing a review on it though so I didn’t take it of. The stinging lasted around 7 minutes and only now, when it’s just started to dry, has it eased up.
I do like how tight the mask feels on my skin, it holds pretty well during movement.
It’s now completely dry, it is slightly flaky but it’s still held together well with only a few cracks. I had to use a cloth to take it off, I would recommend using the softest cloth that you have because I did really have scrub at my face. Overall the product left my face really red, especially around areas with prior acne that the mask clung too. It left a chalky residue on my skin after it had come off, for which I had to wash my face again.
After putting on my moisturiser my skin has settled down and it is softer, I do think they should work on how much irritation the mask creates. Overall though, for the price it’s a decent mask but I’d think about spending a little more for a better quality face mask.

It was cheap so I thought why not? My face was STINGING from using this product and went red and bumpy. I dont see any benefit to it at all.

This peel off facemask is quite cooling but because it’s a peel off it goes quite tight, so just when a headache you might have is easing, it gets worse again! Its a gel like consistency. Really easy to apply and remove. I like to use facemask occasionally as a treat or to help my spots but this does nothing for my skin. Its quite refreshing but I prefer fruity or floral scents. Ok, cheap.

Horrible experience! I picked this up because the packaging claimed it’s ‘ideal for sensitive skin’; naturally having sensitive skin and being a fan of cheap face masks I had to have it – a sweet 89p with my NUS discount.
I applied the mask after cleansing – the texture was thick and creamy and initially felt cooling on the skin. However after around 10 seconds it quickly started to feel hot and then had a fierce burning sensation all over my face, similar to how some hair dyes feel when left on the scalp but more intense. As the hair dye tends to stop feeling hot and unpleasant after a while, I left this on for a couple minutes more but it just became increasingly worse – I had to wash it off immediately. Afterwards my skin was sore, red and painful to the touch. Luckily the worst of it faded after a couple of hours but my skin’s been extra-sensitive for the last few days after using it. This experience was unusual for me because although having ‘sensitive’ skin I have yet to react anywhere near as badly to a product as I did with this – what could they be putting in there that makes my skin feel like it’s on fire?
I’ve contacted Superdrug regarding this reaction to a product that claims to be ‘ideal’ for sensitive skin and will update this review if I hear any news. Anyone with sensitive skin should stay well away from this – Montagne Jeunesse masks are so much better and don’t burn your face!
