I admit I bought this sight unseen one year ago due to the rave reviews by Sabrina (the Beauty look book). She literally swears by these masks.
What it is: a bio cellulose sheet mask, comfortable with nice ingredients, that works OK. It hydrates and plumps your skin. Like many other masks do, truth to be said.
I have to say I prefer bio cellulose masks over hydrogel mask, because the bio cellulose is lighter (=not heavy) and it fits perfectly on the face and doesn’t slip or fall off like others do.
It dries up to a very thin paper film after one hour, when the serum gets absorbed by the skin. That’s the signal when you can remove it.
The skin does feel a little sticky after you remove it, but it does feel smoother and softer.
I would say this is fine once every few weeks as a pick me up, but not 3 times a week as they recommend, due to the price.
There is a lot of serum in the sachet and I recommend decanting that into a jar because you really don’t need to use that much, and use it as as a serum at night. I do this because these mask are suuuuper expensive (pack of 5 cost £85 … yes, 85). It was really a one time splurge.
However, after some months I discovered other brands that make bio cellulose masks with the same or even better ingredients than this one at a fraction of the price, so …. I will surely not repurchase.
