Wow. I discovered Bellatorra at Barneys, which is one of the many reasons I love shopping there – small and/or obscure brands. I decided to start with the mask, as a friend of mine recommended it as their HG exfoliation product. I mistakenly thought that my Clarisonic was exfoliating my skin daily. WRONG! It only deep cleans. Additionally, I didn’t feel like the enzyme exfoliants I had been using were enough, and I loathe harsh bead exfoliants. Too harsh.
I applied a thin layer of this “mask” to my face and neck. It’s cooling and a tiny amount goes a very long way. After waiting 1-2 minutes I proceeded to rub my face in gentle circular motions. I was afraid it was going to be like a gommage gel and was relieved that it wasn’t at all. The gentle circular sweeping motions turned the mask (which had mostly absorbed) into tiny gentle beads of…skin! Gross yet fabulous! After I’d fully exfoliated, I rinsed what was left of the mask off with water. Took less than two minutes.
My skin was left glowing and I’m still stunned. I have zero regrets about spending money on this mask. I’ve spent more on so many useless and poor exfoliating products that I’ll never go back to. This is a keeper! Worth every single penny.
