In Japan, this comes in a tube, which is a much better way to dispense this product in my opinion. Since I`ve stopped hormone therapy recently, my skin has become unbelievably oily even though it`s winter. I`m also beginning to experience breakouts like I haven`t had in almost 20 years. This mask is a life-saver for me at this moment, because I can`t use my regular Dr.Organic Clay Mask (simply too drying in cold weather). This mask controls my sebum but also doesn`t dry me out completely: my skin feels refreshed and squeaky clean after it. Plus, I love the propolis ingredient: I used to work in a cancer hospital and our patients were all given propolis supplements and unguents for their skin, since the doctors believed it really worked to restore healthy normal cells and combat cancerous ones.

Although not a miracle worker, it’s quite good, my skin is calmer and my blemishes are slightly smaller. Quite good price point although I find that it’s cheaper (per 100g) to buy the sachets rather than the tube.

This brown mask has some strange bits in it, I guess is the paste form of propolis.
The effects are really noticeable on me. When the summer comes and my skin turns from dry to oily and blemished, this is the mask that fixes what all my other skincare cant.
Basically I spread this over my face and let it sit for a while ( recommended 15 minutes, but I go surf the internet for 1 hour minimum) after that I rinse this. At first skin looks clear and calm. I repeat this twice a week. After a few hours, I see overall less redness and no new blemishes, less oil. After a few days the old blemishes don’t leave their usual marks. This seems like affects the skin in the medium long term, for which I am truly happy.
For me this is a skin treatment, blemish preventative and skin texture perfecting cream. Usually I need to add moisture with another cream after. This mask does not really moisturize, but for me that is not its purpose.
I wish I knew about this product before, I would have saved me from those annoying red blemish marks that were too old to be treated as the new ones, which leave no mark at all…

The propolis mask by Apivita is apparently a drugstore brand claiming to use natural ingredients. I snapped a sachet of this mask in Priceline AU for a price that I do not remember…..but it’s really affordable.
According to its description, it’s meant for young users with oily skin. Formulated with lemon, propolis and helichrysum extracts, this is supposed to suppress sebum secretions to balance oily/combination skin.
UPon usage, this gel-creme like mask is easy to spread with tiny granules in it. I leave it on for about 15 mins before rinsing off, and it does not make any discernible difference. Well yes it provided a little moisture to my skin, but that’s about it ?
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad product…. but i just cannot tell what it does to my skin. will not repurchase.
