The fibers must be invisible because this mascara did absolutely NOTHING for my lashes. You couldn’t even tell I had mascara on, and that was after 3 coats. It was lacking in substance and color — the first NYX product that I didn’t like at all. My fave mascara is Better Than Sex but it’s pricey, so I’ve been using Voluminous Lash Paradise which is, imo, a pretty close drugstore dupe. But I’m always looking to try new things with the hope that I’ll find something ah-mazing — this wasn’t it. Save your money.

Pathetic. No lengthening, no volume and no colour. I thought it might be old stock so I went back to the pharmacy to exchange it for new stock or another brand. “This is the way it is,” said the shop assistant. Straight to the bin. Why NYX ever produced this utterly dismal mascara is beyond me!

I always feel bad giving a terrible review for any product, but, with apologies, this mascara is absolutely the pits. It’s actually kind of a remarkable product in a way, because it literally looks like you have nothing on your eyelashes after you put it on. It’s sort of amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever used a mascara where you brush it on and your lashes look *exactly* as they did before you put the stuff on them.
It sounds like I’m joking, but I’m not. This mascara adds no length and no volume. Zero. It may add a bit of color, but unless you have blonde lashes and you’re using this in black, you’d never know it because you can’t see this stuff on your lashes AT ALL. I don’t mind mascara that isn’t very dramatic — that sort of product can be nice for a normal office day where you’re not going out after work or what have you — but really, I do expect there to be *some* difference between my naked lashes and my lashes with the product on them. There is literally *no difference* here in the before and after. And I always curl my lashes before I apply mascara, so it’s not just that I’m not curling them right or something like that. Curling, no curling — this stuff still doesn’t show up.
I bought this as a backup tube of mascara to keep in my desk drawer, but it’s completely useless in every way. I would never buy this mascara again and I consider it a waste of my money. Awful product.

As a mascara, this is simply awful. It doesn’t really darken lashes, doesn’t visibly extend them much (as probably it’s packed with fibers and they’re not pigmented) and doesn’t do much to volumize. What is IS great for is being a mascara/lash primer. If you use this first and then your regular mascara after it is a great fiber-infused lash builder / extender.
So keep that in mind. This is really a lash primer/extender product.

I returned this to CVS the day after I bought it. It smells awful, kind of like dirt or soil. And it did absolutely nothing to my lashes other than make them darker. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. This was actually one of the first NYX products I’ve purchased.

Lots of bad reviews on this but I gave it a try anyway. Good on lengthening. Volume takes about 3+ coats and a bit of work – wiggling brush, tipping lashes individually, etc. A quick swipe results in a natural long lash look with little volume. No problems with clumping even with multiple coats. Lashes stay soft, no flaking. Holds a curl. Dry formula. It’s an OK mascara but I’ve used others that are better with less work. But used worse mascara that was far more expensive.

This product is okay. When I bought I think it would actually be a good volumizing mascara but it really isn’t at all. HOWEVER it is a good mascara if you’re into the natural look and it seems to not clump at all which I love. The down size is that the fibers in the mascara do flake onto your skin but I just brush them off with my powder brush and it doesn’t leave any makes that require you to use a make up remover. The brush is a little awkward because it’s so huge but all in all I’d use it for my everyday use and just buy a different mascara when I actually want some volume for going out and what not.

Although I like the formula of this mascara, and I like the brush-this really isn’t a volumizing mascara. It gives off a good amount of color, doesn’t clump very much, and I can get some decent length with it-but not volume.
I do like it, and will be buying it again, I just wish that it actually did what it is supposed to do.

This product is absolutely horrible. It’s very dry, not very black, and it barely shows up.

Personally, I love NYX & I was not disappointed with this. However, in the same token…I didn’t use it alone. I paired it with Better Than Sex at the tips & it was competitively comparable to 3D Fiberlash. Personally the people saying its bad are using it wrong. I do makeup on the side & this is perfect for an after mascara extender. Try it as such. You won’t regret it! NYX is awesome. Also, the wear was incredible. It lasted all day. All day. But I also locked it in with Maybelline Falsies…like I said, I made it my own. You should too! “Life is short… Buy the mascara.” : ) Stay Beautiful
