This is a very good mascara, but not a great one–for me, anyway. The good: lengthens and defines beautifully, formula causes no irritation, and holds a curl ALL DAY (and I have straight Asian lashes that point downward, so putting all the effort into curling them only to have the mascara wilt them down again is an issue). The not-so-good: smudging at the outer corners a few hours after application, with a full undereye crescent by the end of an 8-hour workday. In other words, it’s one of those mascaras that I have to keep an eye on throughout the day, but swiping away the smudges is not super easy as the formula itself is waterproof and stubborn (you’ll need a heavy-duty eye makeup remover at the end of the day to get the rest of it off–I had good luck with Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm or just plain coconut oil). I would actually rate this a 3.5 stars, but depending on your eye shape and lashes, it may not smudge as much on you?
