Absolute worst mascara I have ever used in my life! PROS: it was buildable, went on pretty light, didn’t clump, cheap. CONS: once dry, lashes literally felt sticky, as if they were stuck to each other and stuck to my bottom lashes when I’d blink. It was an incredibly annoying feeling and I can’t imagine going through the day like that. I immediately washed it off and tossed the tube in the trash – the only benefit of this being a cheap mascara is that it was painless to throw away!

I was so stoked when I got this mascara!
I like a mascara that volumizes but that doesn’t look like false lashes. This can be both or just the former. With a gentle hand you can give your lashes a little bit of volume. Length I don’t know because I have naturally long (ish) lashes.
The bad thing about it is that it goes clumpy VERY quickly! I find I have to wipe off the excess that I get on the brush which is not really great because then you’re just wasting product.
Pros:
– Volumizes
– Can build up intensity
– Nice black colour intensity
– Good price point
Con:
– Clumpy after a very short time
Given the price though, I’d probably buy it again.

Basic mascara that’s neither great nor particularly bad. It gives a bit of volume and definitely covers lashes but you need to be careful not to over-apply it as then the lashes stick and end up “spidery.” Trying to apply more than one coat also doesn’t work, at least for me. It flakes only a tiny bit and washes off easily but I’m not planning to buy it again. Overall a reasonable, everyday mascara at an unbeatable price, $2 only!

This has been a pleasant surprise. Goes on cleanly (no clumps or drips) and adds length and volume. One of the best mascaras I’ve used and dirt cheap.

I am allergic to all other mascaras, including Almay. I can wear ELF without my eyes burning and itching. It doesn’t give a lot of volume, but I am thankful to have found a product that doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. Have worn it for over a year now.

I like the brush more that the formula. It’s a huge, slightly tapered, swirl bristle brush that coats every lash and allows for building without clumping. My wand was also slightly bent right before the brush and intentional or not, the bend makes it easier to get to the corner lashes. The brush is a little cheap though as some of the bristles uncoil and get straggly.
But it takes more than a big brush to build volume. The formula is okay, nothing to write home about. Good black color, consistency on the wetter side, doesn’t crumble, stick or flake. Adds minimal length, volume or curl. Very basic for a basic look, even with the ELF primer. Washes off cleanly with soap and water.
For $3, I’m not complaining.

It’s an alright product. I just don’t find that it gives too much volume or length. It’s better than nothing, but I prefer other mascaras. I wouldn’t purchase this one again. I love E.L.F, but this mascara just didn’t cut it for me. I’ve had worse, but also have had way better.
