Mine is not the waterproof but I’m not going to create a new category for an older product that no one is reviewing. I don’t know why this gets no appreciation but it’s one of the best mascaras I’ve used. I prefer the regular Voluminous Feline but both are excellent. The more popular ones by L’Oreal that get higher ratings did not work for me as well as this, which is closer to the original Voluminous from the early 1990s, before they changed it. Does it give you cat eyes? You could call it that, or even manga lashes. It simply creates long, lush, full, beautiful lashes. As for the people who feel it did nothing, or it clumped? Unless you got a dried up tube (in which case, take it back), it’s all in the application.
Update July 26/19. This time when applying it, a long piece of fibre came out. I didn’t know this was a fibre mascara and that’s not OK with me. It is giving very clumpy lower lashes unlike the regular Feline so I am lowering my rating to 2. I took great care in applying it lash by lash and still got the clumps so I am giving up on this one.
Update Aug. 26/19. I tried it again and this time I appreciate it more. I have to say this is one of the best drug store mascaras, comparable to high end. Most of them do have fibres so that’s not a big deal. This gives results as good as Marc Jacobs and Charlotte Tilbury which were the last new ones I tried. I realized that even the $40 mascaras give clumps and smears if you don’t apply them correctly. So that kind of complaint is nothing to do with the product. I will probably not buy the $40 plus brands anymore since the good L’Oreal and Maybelline mascaras are frequently on sale for $5 to $10. I will save the splurges for high end shadows instead. I am raising my rating to 3 stars.

Good cheapo mascara I got mine for $4 on eBay so I bought 2 was shipped 1 so I’m working on that 1. I love this mascara. It’s not super high drama but it will make your lashes long & full & I like the brush. It is inky black & looks glossy when I applied elf clear mascara over the top I do that w all of my my mascaras. It doesn’t make my lashes crunch nor stiff. I’d repurchase this again under $5 it’s not worth more than $6 but you can’t get Maybelline mascara for less than $6 & I find Maybelline to normally be a tinge higher quality than L’Oreal. Just personal pref. L’Oreal has some super good products thou I love all brands they all have at least a few good items. 🙂

I don’t mind the brush at all. It applies beautifully. The mascara – waterproof- stayed on for 12 hours with no raccoon eyes. I love it.

Waste of money. I threw it away. When I first applied the Feline Noir my lashes looked all right. Not spectacular. No real volume. I curled my lashes and applied the mascara the same way I do with other brands. I am not exaggerating when I say that in less than an hour’s time my lashes were stick straight and wimpy. It looked like I hadn’t put mascara on at all.

It provided volume but at the cost of 01) weighing down my eyelashes (so the volume only lasted for part of the day) and 02) the crunchiest eyelashes ever. I know that applying several coats of any mascara will have these effects, but no other mascara I’ve used has done this as badly. For reference, I have very long, stick-straight eyelashes.
I did like how black it made my eyelashes and there was very little to no smudging, which I always appreciate, but L’Oreal and other drugstore brands have much better mascaras than this one, and usually at a dollar or two cheaper. I would not repurchase.

Just bought this mascara a few days ago. Ive only used it a few times but so far its ok. I find my lashes looker fuller and I did find that it did give a little bit of length. What I do not like about it is it really clumps together and my eyelashes feel hard. I dont know for sure yet if I would repurchase this again. Im thinking more to the probably not side.

Like it. The brush looks ridiculous and scary in the photo but it really isn’t in person…its actually really easy to use, it feels nice and smooth like you’re combing through your lashes and it grabs them all without any scratchiness, I didn’t smear this all over my bulgy eyelids like I do with many mascaras, and its a much smaller brush than I expected from looking at the size of the tube. I really hate large and/or weird brushes so that was a relief. Gives a nice, soft, fluttery winged out look, reminds me of the Voluminous Butterfly mascara. Doesn’t give much length but makes my lashes look thicker and fuller, and makes my eyes look more awake. It’s kind of a natural, flirty, wide eyed mascara look. I have no issues with this-I would give it a five if it added more length also

This might be a good mascara, if it wasn’t for the poorly-designed brush. It overloads the lashes with mascara, causing lashes to clump together and look heavy. Takes a LOT of combing out with my Tweezerman iLash Comb to even get them to look semi-decent.
As far as the formula itself, it does add some volume to the lashes but nothing to write home about. It doesn’t add any significant length. Forget about definition if you don’t have a lash comb! It wears well without smudging (a minor plus).
Overall, this product is disappointing. If you catch it on sale–and have a sturdy lash comb–perhaps it may be worth considering. But to pay full price? Nope.

There seems to be a few Feline mascaras out there. Million Lashes Feline, Million Lashes Feline Noir, Voluminous Feline and Voluminous Feline Noir. I’m reviewing the Voluminous Feline Noir which comes in a black and gold tube with cat paw prints on it.
It’s a good mascara. It’s great for a daytime look. However, it’s not dramatic enough for nighttime. It gives satisfactory volume with two coats but no length, imo. The reason why I gave this three stars is because you can’t build with this mascara. It starts to dry up on the lashes after two coats. Lashes starts to get crunchy and dry. The good thing is that I didn’t experience clumping or flaking. I also like that this doesn’t have a scent to it.
The brush is a bit gimmicky. It has uneven notches in it with spikey rubber bristles. I find this does absolutely nothing for the performance of the formula. If you take away the funky brush and just evaluate the formula, it reminds me a lot of Benefit’s They’re Real mascara which I also found just okay.
All in all, it’s a basic mascara that loves pumpkin spice lattes and yoga pants. I’ll keep it but wouldn’t repurchase it.
