It is a bit pricier than what I would normally spend on a mascara but it works well on my long lashes so I am happy to repurchase it again. The only thing that annoyed me was the shape of the tube. Although it was easy to grip when applying…the bottle would not stand up easily. I kept mine standing up in my makeup acrylic organiser and found that it would constantly fall over and knock my other products over with it. Also, when I am using the mascara wand I can’t put the other half down as it just falls over and sprays out flecks of mascara onto the table.

Bought this mascara in a travel set along with Hypnôse last month, and I really like it so far. I have rather thin and light colored lashes. By removing the excess product from the wand with a tissue, I can get fanned-out and curled lashes. So far no mascara high-end or drugstore has given me long lashes, sp that is not a judgment criteria for me.
If the mascara gives thick, dark lashes while looking natural then It’s a five stars for me. Also, there is no clumping, smudging or flaking if paired with a lash serum/primer (I use Etude House My Lash Serum).
I love the fan effect this mascara creates. I think I like this more than Hypnôse, have to test them both more.

My lashes have a difficult time holding a curl and this product was just terrible. The formula is really wet and clumped my lashes together and just made my lashes drop. I am not a fan and I would definitely not buy it again.

Having tried other Lancome mascaras, this is their weakest one. I have nice, long lashes, and yet this thing could barely make anything better than thin, slightly longer lashes, very natural-looking. If I tried harder it would start clumping and really wouldn’t add anything much; it would start spoiling really quick. It’s sad as I love curved wands and I used Maybelline Voluminous with the curved brush for almost 10 years until they pulled it off the market (thankfully I kept the original brush and always pair it with a more recent mascara if it gives good result). This one just doesn’t deliver, although I think the product is more to blame; it seems more dry, and harder to apply than other mascaras.
I won’t remove an extra star just because of the price, but considering Lancome is 2-3x more expensive than the pharmacy brands, this is a big fail. If you want natural lashes, just buy a cheaper mascara like Nice n Easy or something along those lines.

Last summer I had eyelash extensions before the holiday and I was amazed how much long, curly eyelashes can make you look and feel beautiful even without a trace of makeup.
I have naturally short and straight eyelashes and I have tried and used many high-end mascaras, and while some of them were really good, this one is the only one that actually makes my eyelashes look like when I had extensions on – long for days and amazingly curled. It doesn’t clump at all, so while giving this dramatic effect, it stays polished and is definitely not “too much”.
I applied it in the morning and after a long, busy day on 40 C degrees that ended with a sweaty ballet class, when I was taking off my makeup around midnight I was amazed – it looked exactly the same as after the application. No other mascara was able to hold my curl for that long. None. Never.
This works amazingly. It is better then Chanel and better then any other mascara I have tried. Just … WOW.
I bought it by chance at the airport only because it was on a promotion. That was pure luck. I might have found my perfect match mascara.

amazing mascara, does not smudge, curls and thickens lashes perfectly. expensive but worth it!! so much better than lancome’s hypnose star which is too wet, clumpy and prone to smudging!

curls my lashes but they do go straight after a few hours.
It also thickens my lashes which is good! 🙂

This is my HG everyday mascara. It curves my lashes, coating them enough to add length and volume, but never clumping. The result is not dramatic, but very becoming on me.

I have tried a lot of mascaras, and this is by far the best one ever! I’m half Chinese, so my lashes are already long & dark, but they point downwards & are straight as anything. I usually curl them once & apply a coat of this mascara at the start of applying my make-up, then at the end apply another coat, leave to dry & then curl again and it’s a winner! Beautifully long lush lashes that point skyward, and stay like that all day, haven’t been able to achieve this with any other mascara. It doesn’t stick to my curler, doesn’t smudge at all during the day, and doesn’t flake either. The only downside is that it’s over $50 here in Australia, so I stock up in duty free whenever I go overseas! Apart from that, absolute HG of mascaras!

It’s not work on my lashes, I don’t think it can hold curl for asian eyelash. But the best thing is Lancome mascara don’t clumps easily, and its very light not even add much volume and length for lashes. I like lancome L’EXTRÊME more than Virtuose, because it can hold curl. 🙂
