I have actually really like MK’s Ultimate mascara. It is not irritating and does not flake off. Black. Basic. Not too clumpy – can cause moderate clumping if the product gets old so cap tightly. Adds some volume, no real lengthening for me. $18 retail circa 2019. MK changes products all the time and as of 2019 offers 4 different formulas of mascara (all in black and a few in brown/black). I use black.

This is a review for the Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara. I am surprised nobody reviewed this mascara before. It has this gimmicky rubber brush that has a flat side and a longer bristled brush on the other side. Apparently it was 5 years in the making. The brush is bitch to use. It doesn’t get a grasp on the lashes and is awkward in several ways. It’s pretty large, which I don’t like. I takes forever to coat the lashes and get them combed out. I worked and worked, but I couldn’t get both lashes to look the same. The effect is supposed to be dramatic and is. But there are so many mascaras out there that give much better results and are quicker and easier to use. It might work for very patient people who don’t mind spending a ton of time on their lashes with unpredictable results. Ultimate mascara is a better product, just not as dramatic. But it is reliable.

My favorite mascara in the world and it’s $15. I love it. it never flaked! clumps or transfers. I would call this a dupe for it cosmetics superhero lash-$30 Or they’re real by benefit and it’s cheaper. All mary kay mascaras are awesome. cons….you have to find a consultant. you have to wait for a consultant to order and be hounded to become a consultant. truthfully I am a consultant so I can buy my products myself. I’m not that great at selling because I’m truthful. some products are horrible some are good but not worth the price but there skin care is phenomenal. As for any of there mascaras they are top notch. I don’t buy any other kind accept MK now unless I have a drug store coupon or I like to try travel size of luxe brands. but I always find myself reaching for these mascaras

I think this is as close as I am going to get to a HG mascara. This is reasonably priced (compared to department store and Sephora prices) and it wears BEAUTIFULLY. Application tip: BLOT the brush before putting this on- especially when brand new. The brush is fluffy, but not bulky. The formula is not wet, but not overly thick. I get really good volume and definition with only one or two coats and it layers very well. The black color is rich and true. I am especially pleased this doesn’t give me raccoon eyes (even with oily skin) but it removes easily enough with a gentle cream cleanser! Mary Kay has a real winner with the Ultimate and I hope they never discontinue it!

For some reason the brush doesn’t work for me- like i can’t get the mascara off the tightly-packed bristles and on to my eyelashes? So bizzare! I could go to the trouble of cleaning a wand I do like and using that, but that sounds very messy. I’ll probably go back to a Loreal or maybelline mascara like always- there are so many varieties and the cost is much less

This is one of the best mascaras I have tried, and it is cheaper than the “high brands” that I usually buy. It separates the lashes, and give you a lot of volume.

The first tube was amazing. It’s not really natural though, kind of just straight not flared out. But the volume is amazing and it separates. But the second tube was terrible!!! Super sticky and NO VOLUME!!! And sticky and spiky, wire looking lashes. I check the batch code and it exist… Maybe it is a fake??

Is it supposed to come out in a clump?
When I first opened it that’s what happened so I kind of scraped it off in the tube and tried again and it was a bit better. I tried applying it to my lashes and it looked like nothing was happening, so I rubbed the wand on the back of my hand and nothing even came off.
Really not impressed so far as I haven’t really had the chance to try it, but judging by other people’s reviews the same thing is happening to them.
Do I return it or try to salvage it?

I received this in a set and was not very impressed. I don’t know if it sat on the shelf too long where I bought it or if it is supposed to be all thick, goopy and dry. It definitely didn’t stay on my lashes long either before flaking. Will not try it again. I typically buy tubing mascara my favorite is the Fiberwig mascara which I unfortunately have to purchase off amazon now that Sephora no longer carries it.

This is my HG mascara. Finally, after going through so many different types of mascaras and never quite settling on one, I’ve found the perfect mascara. It lengthens and thickens lashes, adding heaps of volume and you can build it up lots. If you go overboard it does clump a little, you just need to brush your finger over it gently and the lashes will separate again. It is a true black mascara. Makes my lashes look incredible! My friend who is a Becca makeup artist uses this and she looks like she is wearing falsies. I like to curl my lashes first because I don’t find it very curling. It is a tubing formula, which means that you just need to wet your face with warm water when you remove your makeup, pull at the lashes gently and the mascara comes off in little tubes, which means it is so easy and much less messy than a normal formula. I just remove it in the shower. Because of this it can flake a little if you touch your eyes but if you leave them alone it’ll be fine, and it NEVER smudges. Ever. Will definitely be restocking on this!

I am a little obsessed with finding the best mascara. I am getting through dozens in my search! I want it to be smudge free, lengthening, defining, long lasting and easy to remove, oh and flake free. This ticks all of the boxes, IF used with a primer. Without the primer, if flaked like crazy. With the Lancome XL primer. This was HG stuff. UPDATE: After a couple of weeks, this started to flake, even with primed 🙁

I like it, its mineral based and is very nourishing for your own eyelashes. My lashes lengthen so much with this product and get so many compliments every day. it comes off really easily with eye makeup remover and I know there is no harsh chemicals on my lashes.
**Edit** I realised it does go clumpier quicker than regular mascara’s with it being mineral based. Got Lancome hypnose for an early xmas prezzie and have to admit – its heaps better**

Never again! The packaging is beautiful – and this is it! It is the only positive I have found about this mascara. Flaky, clumpy, smudges after couple of hours, while being removed leaves black circles under the eyes – terrible! I decided to try it after using other tubing mascaras Clinique Long Wearing and Blink – Becca does not get any near to them! For the price – extremely disappointing!

Really disappointing. I bought it after having read some good comments in the press and seeing that it received some prices.
But I’m so disappointed.
First of all, I don’t find it easy to use, the brush comes out with small packs and thus it’s difficult to get the same quantity of mascara on all the lashes.
Second, it’s good for lengthtening the lashes but not for thickening them.
So far my favourite mascara remains “Inimitable” from Chanel, it does such a wonderful job. I’ll just stick to it again !

Wet yet clumpy…spidery crooked lashes…one coat not enough – two coats and it looks like you have exactly three lash clumps stuck to your eye…sounds fun, doesn’t it? I tried to like this mascara, each day thinking I hadn’t found the knack of applying it but…I give up.

I order a lot of products from Mary Kay and this mascara is one of them. I paid for $15 before tax. It a very great mascara. It gives volume and length to my lashes. Love it.

From the first application of this mascara — I knew I would love it. It is very black, gives nice volume and length, doesn’t flake (which is huge for me), and the wand is nice for spreading my lashes out. The only con is that it can be clumpy. But I just take my favorite Clump Crusher mascara and apply that after this mascara and that takes away any clumps. But this mascara kind of makes me look like I’m wearing false lashes. It’s a keeper.

Pros:
Really doesn’t smudge all day, and doesn’t flake (unless you rub your eyes)
Easy to take off with a damp cloth
I tend to favour mascaras which define and lengthen my lashes, and don’t really go for volume (not that my lashes are naturally thick and voluminous!). I’ve been using Shu Uemura precise volume waterproof (not really volumizing despite the name!) daily for a few years now, which is excellent for defining and separating lashes, with a slight lengthening effect. This Becca formula seems very different, and while I enjoy the above benefits…
Cons:
Formula feels very wet and takes a while to dry
Clumpy – I feel the need to run a comb through my lashes, which I never do with the Shu mascara
Doesn’t hold curl as well
I think it’s a decent mascara, just maybe not for my personal taste. I am planning to use this more in the summer though, as in humid weather, even ‘waterproof’ mascaras smudge. But it’s back to my trusty Shu.
I’m undecided about repurchasing. If it holds well during the upcoming summer, maybe.

nice mascara but not comparable to my beloved giorgio armani eyes to kill. If you like a natural look with well defined lashed Becca’s mascara does a good job. As previously stated by other reviewers it does not smudge and the tubular formula makes it very easy to take off at night. But if you like volumised and intense lashes … this is not the right product (and I have very long and thick lashes). An OK product but nothing impressive.

I loved this mascara while it lasted. It gave natural soft looking lashes with a lovely sheen. Removal simply with warm water couldn’t have been easier for sensitive eyes. The smell was also good (no tarmac road odour) and the packaging felt luxurious. After 2 months it dried up unfortunately and started to clump and leave fallout after a few hours. I would have liked if the formula had remained stable for longer. At that price I was unhappy to have to throw it out, full of dried product.
