Because I had to throw out all my old mascaras and start over, to figure out which ones I am not allergic to, I needed a new batch. I’m not going to start with the high end, so I got the cheaper ones that looked like they might not be irritating. All the Marcelle mascaras were two for one. I almost got the Volume Precision but I remembered reading a good review of this and wanting to try it someday. After using this, I was very happy. I am IN love with this. I took a picture after applying this and my lashes have never looked this long, full and lush since I was much younger and used Diorshow. I bought a bunch of other brands because I have to find one I am not allergic to. I hope this is the one. It really delivers wonderful results. I won’t know for awhile if I find a better one but I will update if I still love this after trying the others.
Update Feb 22/16: As far as I can tell, this is non-allergenic and I still enjoy it. But I am lowering the rating to 3 because the brush is an awkward gimmick, and it requires a lot of brushing to get the lashes right. The look is good, but it’s not easy to achieve. The brush changes from long to short when you twist the end, but I do not find this a useful thing. The long brush works much better than the short brush. I may still buy this again if it continues to be non-irritating.

very good mascara. it gives lenght, volume and separates the lashes. and it curls the lashes also ! so if u want you can use it without curling ur lashes first. just begin by applying the mascara to the roots of the lashes and go up with zig zag motions. and then apply mascara to the top of the lashes to add some lenght.

I have really short, straight, stubborn lashes that won’t stay curled and I have been searching for a product that would give me that lasting curling effect. I decided to browse through drugstore makeup products first, hoping to find a mascara that would spare me from buying Shiseido’s Nourishing Mascara Base, which I haven’t tried either. I purchased Marcelle’s Twist Push-Up Mascara and was excited to try it because of it’s claim to “push-up” lashes. The twist wand is truly innovative – regular position to define and lengthen, twist to tighten brush for volume, and it did just that for my lashes but in terms of keeping it curled or pushed up, this did not deliver for me. But I do think this would work best for those with long lashes. Do give it a try. I got mine at Target here in Canada for $13.50.
I guess, base on good reviews here, I would have to give Shiseido a try.
