This brush is amazing it gets every lash and really buffs them up. The color is really nice and black and the consistency isn’t to wet or dry. It makes my lashes look really really nice. Amazing even……until I have the tiniest tear in my eye and them it all runs down and in 32 seconds I go from fresh faced to drowned rat. It’s a huge disappointment because the price point is amazing for $5 and the way it makes your lashes look is incredible…..but the stating power is a deal breaker. It’s as good as it is bad. I hope they reformulate.

The brush is amazing, if only I could say the same about the formula. The brush is plastic, with many medium-length spikes running around it. The formula is liquidy, with I don’t like and it often gets on my eyelids and under eye. It goes on really dark and nice but after even 20 minutes it smudges like crazy around my eyes! After a few hours I see dark marks all under my eye, it really doesn’t hold together at all. If you rub your eyes often or your eyes water, don’t buy this. Whenever I even try to carefully wipe my tears away, some of the mascara rubs onto my finger and it turns all black. Because I don’t want to waste product, I pair it with a waterproof mascara and it works better then. Otherwise, I don’t use it alone. If only it could last longer without smudging it would be my favorite mascara.

I confess that I mainly bought this for the brush. I typically use Jordana and that brush is far too long for me. This has a curved brush so I figured I’d use this mascara, and then clean the brush and use the brush in a new tube of Jordana. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find that while I use this tube up, it will totally work for me AND, I would buy this again. The curved brush is so much easier for me to use because I just use the back, shorter side of the curve. I barely have to brush this out at all – it’s almost swipe and go. The effect is less volume/jet black than I like and is instead more feathery everyday. The formula is fairly waxy, not brittle, and it has no clumps and no flakes. It holds curl beautifully.

I mainly bought this because it was basic and cheap – I was on a trip and it turned out the mascara I had in my bag was dried up. Overall, I like it for a budget product. The brush is not too fat, so it’s easy to apply; the color is nice and dark; and it doesn’t usually get clumpy. However, it does have a tendency to flake off throughout the day. I probably won’t buy it again, because the flaking issue is annoying, but I might hang on to the brush.

For $3.99 this performed better than I expected, mine was on sale at Walgreens for a 1$ off, now I wasn’t expecting “Maximum Volume” so I wasnt disappointed in that department, on its own it is decent, it colors my lashes black nicely, mediocre in the volume department, decent for legthening, and, as of yet, I have no issues with flaking and my lashes arent as crunchy as they can get with other mascaras, but I would recommend an eyelash curler with this one. With a lash primer (I use Diorshow) I find it looks nicer, a little bit more volume, I’d say length is about the same and it curls somewhat better (I dont own a curler at the moment as I was using UD Super Curl for the longest time and I never needed a curler with that) the finished look for my lashhes with the primer is a nice *somewhat* fuller but natural look. I use it most when I wear fake lashes as my lashes always get powder and what not on them so this colors them so they blend in with my false lashes, and its great for that.
