I’ve repurchased this mascara 3 or 4 times. It’s a tried & true go-to product for me. At around $14, it’s in between the price of a typical drugstore mascara & a high end one. This used to have sort of a chocolate-y smell, but not anymore. It has a natural bristle wand, which I strongly prefer over plastic bristle ones. The formula starts off super wet, so the first several times I use it it’s just okay. When a mascara is overly wet, when applying it I tend to get smudges on my lids. However, once it dries out a little bit it’s perfect. Gives amazing length & superb volume. No smudging or flaking. The packaging is also quite appealing to me. I’ll continue to buy this as long as they continue to make it.

I’ve been exclusively using the Essence I Love Volume mascara ever since Too Faced sold out to Estee Lauder. When that happened I decided not to support Too Faced anymore, so I couldn’t buy my (now former) HG mascara (Better Than Sex).
I wanted to try something else, and between this and the Stila Huge Extreme Lash, I chose this one. The first time I tried this I didn’t like it. I felt like my Essence mascara just did more as far as lengthening and volumizing went. Now that I’ve gotten used to this mascara and the formula, I like it just as much. The Essence one is less expensive (only around $3 as opposed to the $14 or so that I paid for this one) but the Soap and Glory one has the best packaging I’ve ever seen on a mascara. It kind of reminds me of the packaging on Urban Decay Perversion (slightly holographic), but gunmetal and matte pink instead of shades of purple.
The wand has traditional bristles. The formula on this is quite thick and it volumizes incredibly well. Adds a good amount of length and provides good separation. I think it only comes in one color (Wicked Black). The formula isn’t particularly wet or particularly dry in my opinion… just a solid in-between (starts off slightly more wet, dries down the more you use it). It doesn’t smudge or flake on me. It lasts on the top and bottom lashes until I go to take it off. To get my desired effect, I do have to use many coats. But that’s been the case with every mascara I’ve ever tried.
The one thing that kind of throws me off about this product is that it smells slightly like chocolate. Have you ever smelled the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip glosses? This smells just like that. It’s identical to a Lip Smackers chocolate covered cherries scented lipgloss that I had as a kid (heavily chocolate-scented, not much, if any, hint of cherry.) It’s not terrible, I’ve just never used a mascara that has fragrance lol.
I would repurchase. I’ll probably try the Stila one out next, but this is an excellent option for sure.

Crumbles onto face. Dislike this product so much.

I originally got this mascara for christmas – I am so fussy with mascaras it is unbelievable. I need my mascaras to be jet black, non clumpy and not dry out quickly whilst altogether not being to expensive, now this mascara ticks all of the boxes apart from the expense begin £10 I almost faint every time I buy it due to having to have the cheapest but the best of everything. Although I just have to re-purchase it as it is so good! It makes my eyelashes look longer whilst not clumping (even when it’s drying out) and giving a jet black colour to my lashes which I love! It lasts all day and I often don’t have to top up on my mascara and doesn’t smudge at all. A must for all mascara enthusiasts.

I bought this mascara “blind”, which is actually unsual for me.
But well, there were no reviews on this mascara here on MUA, so I decided to just give it a shot! I’m really glad I did, because this macara is AWESOME.
It makes my lashes looks really long. Probably the most lengthening mascara, I have ever tried! Also I loved how it didn’t clump at all. I have lashes that clumps together almost no matter what mascara I use. However not with this one..
The only downside to this mascara is that, well.. I smudges. Not bad or anything, but I noticed some mascara where my lashes had hit the browbone. It’s not anything that can’t just be wiped away, but of course it’s a bit annoying. Because of that, I can’t give it 5/5 but it’s definetely a 4/5, since I LOVE the effect it gives my lashes. 🙂
