I lost my mascara while on a trip to France and picked this up at Sephora. After using it the first time I was stunned to realize it’s a dupe of Diorshow mascara. It volumizes, lengthens, gives me a gorgeous fringe of lashes just like Diorshow does and it’s very buildable without needing to comb out lashes in between coats. The formula is thin enough that I can coat the tiniest lashes in the corners of my eyes. The only difference I see with Diorshow is that it doesn’t have the same lovely rosewater fragrance the Dior has; there is no fragrance which may actually be an advantage for some.
So, you would think this is a perfect mascara! Well I don’t buy Diorshow anymore for the simple reason that it runs and I end up with raccoon eyes at the end of the day. And yes, Sephora The Mascara does the same unfortunately. So, what I ended up doing is using this mascara for my top lashes and the Maybelline mascara with the tiny brush for my lower lashes. That way I get the phenomenal fringe for half the price of Diorshow, and no raccoon eyes.
I gave it 4 stars because for $12 it’s definitely worth every penny even with its shortcomings. Even though I need a bottom lash mascara I still reach for this again and again when doing my makeup.
I don’t have good lashes to start with so to have a mascara that gives me a lush false lash look for the price is why it’s my fave.
