Bought the Supershock BRIGHTS in Violet and it does NOT show up.
I even applied some black mascara first to see if that would help? Barley lilac.
I wanted a true violet lash.
This is way too chalky and pale.
FAIL.

I’ve been checking this site for reviews everytime I want to buy a product for year now but this is the first time I’ve written one. But this stuff is so amazing I just couldn’t not share it with the world.
I’ve stopped using Avon products a long time ago cause it was just too much hassle with the system they have in place. If I can’t go to a store and try it before I buy it then I don’t want it.
I ended up purchesing this mascara out of pure chance. I was extremely late to a photoshoot I had with some friends and I was out of mascara. I stopped at a Sephora I knew but it was closed for remodelling for a month. I was desperate and extremely late so when I saw some Avon ladies on the street I went straight to them and said “hey, do you have with you a mascara I can buy, any mascara, I need it right now”. They gave me this and since it was ridiculously cheap I though I’d just use it for my photoshoot and then throw it away.
Much to my surprise this ended up being the best mascara I used ever, and I tried quite a lot of expensive ones. It is simply amazing! If you’re familiar with some big brush technique (rotating and over-coating) you get long and luscious lashes with one coat. With two coats you get the false lash evening look. And the best part, this stuff doesn’t move from my eyes all day, which is amazing since I have extremely oily eyelids and most waterproof mascaras can’t handle a full eight hours on my lashes without giving me racoon eyes. This doesn’t move until I want to take it off, and it comes off reasonably easy with biphasic eye make up remover.
I just purchesed my second tube after the first happy happy “accident” and I’m never switching from this until they stop making it.

This is my all time favorite mascara! Ive been using this since highschool until now (college) this is my very first mascara. And the best mascara I ever had. why should I spend my money to those costly products if I already have this! Plus it is waterproof! Love love it! You should try it! And also all mascara in Avon are perfect. Affordable + the Quality. It is so amazing!

It is a really good mascara. It does not make miracles happen (if you have short and blond eyelashes like me), but it certainly helps. It mostly adds volume and not so much length. I usually, use makeup powder in between the layering of the mascara, and it really helps.

I had this mascara sitting around (unopened) from when I used to sell for Avon and decided to start using it since my make up forever one ran out. Makes eyelashes look pretty and feathery/wispy, but in a good way. I personally like those silicone type applicators, but this was was a little harsh/sharp. I didn’t put it so close to my lash line because of that, but I noticed over the course of two days that I started using this product my eyelashes started falling out. The lash would dislodge from the follicle and sit on my lash line, making me feel a little itch or as if there was a piece of dust sitting on my lashes. I’d gently go to brush it off it would be an eye lash on my finger. 18 eyelashes in two days from both eyes total. That’s never happened before. I don’t have allergies to many things, just white oak since I’ve been tested, but maybe I’m allergic to something in the mascara? Unfortunately I’m going to have to stop using it. Pity

This is definitely one of the better mascaras by Avon, and I have tried plenty.
Before I review I want to explain that I have very long naturally curly lashes than most people and its harder to find a mascara that works for me because of this fact. Other people with short lashes may not have the same problems as me when it comes to mascaras.
I purchased for $4.99 what a steal! I like the packaging and the brush is great. It picks up just the right amount of product. It sweeps on nicely with one coat, separating, volumizing and lengthening without unsightly clumps. I find waiting between coats is the best thing. It only needs two coats to look great on my lashes.
The brush is big and a little awkward at first but I got used to it quickly.
The only issues I have with it is that is is a 7 rating on the cosmetics database, meaning it has toxic ingredients. Not good when u r applying near the eyes!
Annnd it leaves huge smudges on my brow bone after a few hours. This is because my eyelashes are so long they touch the brow bone. Others may not have this issue but other long eyelashed people beware!
I now use it on my lower lashes with success. They always look great with one coat. I’ve given up on my upper lash because of the smudging.
I wouldn’t purchase again. I think Avon needs to review their product ingredients and make them safer for people. Not a company that seems to care about the health of their clients.
