Does this actually curl or keep curled lashes? That I can’t answer, but I definitely love layering this on with other mascaras to fluff up the volume.
I own this in a super deluxe mini size, which has lasted me a while. The formula is a glossy black, and runs a bit more on the semi-wet side so I’ll get panda eyes if I don’t apply setting powder underneath my eyes. That’s pretty much the only downside. The brush is spiky/hard and separates lashes and really well, but it doesn’t grab onto the lashes – it glides over the lashes, if that makes sense. More of a comb than a brush. All in all, not clumpy, dries quickly, and gives my fluttery lashes a little more oomph.
What really makes this mascara stand out is the lash separation – usually mascara formulas make lash hairs stick together in a pointy mess, but this formula and brush adds volume by coating each lash.

I’m not a huge fan of this mascara. I have tried the sample size tube, and the full size. I wasn’t impressed with either.
It wasn’t too wet, the smell was just a little gross, and my lashes were a clumpy sticky mess.
I didn’t get any curling of my lashes.
I will not repurchase.

This mascara is terrible at curling lashes. It doesn’t even hold a curl with an eyelash curler. It does build some volume but all that is lost because it doesn’t hold a curl and whatever volume is there, is quickly deflated and my lashes are once again stick straight. I’m sorry I ever spent serious money on this mascara. I’ve always been happy with drugstore waterproof mascaras so I’m unsure why I felt compelled to try this Urban Decay mascara. All it is is a mascara with a curved wand (which drugstore mascaras have too) which makes no difference and doesn’t curl the lashes one iota (only an eyelash curler curls lashes). This mascara was a total waste of money and I ended up returning it to Ulta. I’m so glad they have a generous return policy. I would have been so pissed off if I had wasted good money on this do nothing mascara. In fact, it’s nowhere as good as my usual drugstore mascaras (Loreal False Fiber Lashes Waterproof), which does hold a curl and does deliver nice volume and Maybelline Rocket Waterproof, which I use on top). I almost never buy high end mascaras because I’m almost always disappointed by them. I spent $27.50 for Diorshow mascara only to end up returning it because it was so bad it was a joke. I thought I had learned my lesson but apparently not. This Urban Decay mascara was just as bad. It added nothing positive to my lashes and it smudged like crazy. My lashes were straight almost before I had finished applying the mascara, which pissed me off to no end. So much for a curling mascara. This was a total rip off. Don’t waste your money. Drugstore mascaras are so much better. I will never stray again. I truly love the two drugstore mascaras I use. They give me dark, voluminous lashes that stayed curled all day. Who could ask for more? I definitely don’t recommend this Urban Decay “curling ” mascara. It certainly doesn’t deserve the name!

I’ve always been a fan of urban decay makeup. I have eyelashes that are long and thick but they like to stick straight out. I bought this mascara hoping that it would help my lashes. It’s not that bad, but I wouldn’t ever buy it again. The formula doesn’t stay on very good and it doesn’t go on very well.

I received a sample of this mascara in my UD Book of Shadows and I’ll admit, I really like it. At first I wasn’t convinced, but after using it more, I like the wet formula and the curled look it gives my lashes. My lashes do not curl easily, but even without curling, this mascara makes me look wide awake. I do wish it was waterproof because I prefer waterproof mascaras, but that doesn’t change how good this product is. There is no detectable smell and it lasts all day. I didn’t notice any smudging. However, I wouldn’t repurchase this because of the $20+ price tag. Although I really really love the formula, I think there are drugstore mascaras that are just as good for less.

I am on my second tube of this mascara. Before finding this godsend, my stick straight lashes would droop down to my cheekbones. With this mascara (and- I’ll admit- a curler), my lashes look long, full, and they stand up! This is THE BEST mascara for those with straight lashes.

This mascara is just okay. It holds curl for about 6 hours, but it is very clumpy. There are way better mascaras out there that are cheaper that do a better job. It does not give length, or volume.

I’m the type of girl who has long and thick lashes but they are straight. Curling helps, but I hate that bam-straight look so when I saw this I really wanted it. I loved how it looked when I applied it. The only problem I have is it doesn’t have good staying power and smears all over. Isn’t worth the pricey-ness, but still nice 🙂

I am still on my quest for the perfect mascara. This is not it, but I would give it a 4 just for sheer staying power. I worked a couple of twelve hours shifts and did not wash my face in between. I was too tired even for cleansing wipes. So around 38 hours after I put this stuff on, it finally started rubbing off when a coworker made me laugh so hard I cried. 38 hours of work, sleep, driving, etc. I didn’t see any noticeable curling, but it did darken and define my lashes. Loved the brush too, and formula was easy to apply, no clumping. Also, seriously, 38 hours??

I’m a fan of this mascara. The shape of the curved wand, the spikey plastic bristles, and the moist formula work very well with my lashes. I get defined length with a nice amount of volume without any clumps (thanks to the plastic bristles working like a comb). My lashes hold curl on their own, so I can’t speak on the curl holding factor.
