Would rather buy another MAC mascara. This is OK

I hate this mascara, I’m in love with MAC products but every mascara I’ve tried is pretty disappointing, I have very short and straight eyelashes and this DOES NOT HOLDS A CURL FOR EVEN 5 MINUTES. I just hate it, I will never run out of this one because I’m never gonna use it. Plus it takes so long to dry and it ruins my eye makeup.

Mac mascara’s are known for being really mediocre. This is by far the worst I’ve tried. I ran out of my Lancome “Drama” and wanted to try something cheaper but still “high end”…well this was a mistake. I have short, straight lashes and this just weighed them down heavily..It uncurled my eyelashes and it made them so stiff without giving any volume or length really. I know it’s waterproof but it’s so difficult to take off. I’ve since switched to Chanel’s Inimitable Intense mascara, and it’s a million times better, though it’s $15 more expensive, it is worth every cent more. I am done experimenting with Mac mascaras…the quality is just so awful…

I had gotten this at a MAC warehouse sale, I had heard mixed reviews so I thought this would be a good time to try it since it was dramatically decreased in price.
Pros:
-Definitely a great waterproof mascara, and doesn’t run after working out
-easy to take off lid when I make a mistake.
-no strong odour as I have had with past mascaras
-doesn’t clump
Cons:
-doesn’t really do anything for my lashes, when putting on a few coats it lengthens a bit but it looks like i have about 5 or 6 top lashes
-doesn’t volumize
Overall, it’s not HG material, the formula of the product seems great, I think it’s the brush that doesn’t give me what I’m looking for. It has many pro’s but if it can’t do anything for my lashes then it’s just a waste. I will not repurchase

I’ve always had a problem with my mascaras flaking and smudging everything!! but this one is great! stays put all day and gives great definition!

I needed a waterproof mascara and apparently, this is the only waterproof MAC mascara. It seperates my lash beautifully, but can’t for the life of it, HOLD A CURL. Extremely disappointed.

It’s not a great mascara for me – it doesn’t thicken or lengthen a whole lot. Additionally, it smudges if I sweat a lot. However, it’s definitely waterproof and flakes minimally. I think I’ll continue my search for the perfect waterproof mascara.

I really like this mascara. It is defining, lengthening, and is very black. I apply it over a primer, which is white, and it is still very black. Will slightly smudge on my crease if I use a Mac paint pot, but that is the only time it runs onto my skin at all. It removes just like any other mascara, and does not leave lashes dry of clumpy. For me it’s the perfect waterproof mascara.

I’m not a huge fan of MAC mascaras (despite loving their products), or waterproof mascaras in general, but I really disliked this one. My boyfriend got it for me as part of my birthday gift, and I tried to love it, I really did. Being very close to the Jersey shore, we go down to stay at a relative’s house nearly every weekend, so I had ample time to try this out. All it did was make my long, thick, full, curled lashes look like short, stubby, brittle sticks. It was so ridiculously unattractive. If I recall correctly (I’ve since B2Med this), the bristles were spaced quite wide apart, which made it really hard to apply. I tried to layer this over top of other mascaras, and it looked even worse. Also, it smells really, really disgustingly like clay and fish after just a few weeks. Overall, this is definitely not worth the money. Although I’ve admitted I’m not a huge fan of waterproof mascaras, I am positive there has to be much better than this out there.

I purchased this one a whim after talking to a MAC artist about my issues with mascara smudging on my lower lashes. It’s a huge pet peeve and I always carry q-tips to freshen up any lower lash line smudges during the day. She recommended using this macsara exclusively for lower lashes to help avoid that concern. Surprisingly this mascara really works, adds length, volume, and doesn’t move. I have tried it on my upper lashes too and it delivers a really nice natural look. I do find that the tiny wand tends to pick up way too much product, but a quick swipe of a tissue tends to remove the excess. Removes fairly easily with make-up remover or good ol’ vaseline.
