Like other lengthening formula mascaras this one doesn’t do much in volume. That is not a minus for me. This doesn’t say it’s a volumizing formula and I’ve given up on finding a mascara that can give length as well as volume. What it does do very well is define my short lashes, give them great length, apply without clumping, and wear without flaking or smearing. When I mean great length I mean length that my old favorite lengthening mascaras gave me: l’Oreal Lash Out and l’Oreal Double Extends Beauty Tubes. Well the first is discontinued. (Le sigh. Thanks a lot, l’Oreal–NOT!) I got tired of the tricky application of the second one. This No7 Extreme Length made my short Asian lashes long and fluttery. The color is a lovely deep black with a shine to it that makes my lashes stand out even more. Layer it on top with a good volumizing mascara my lashes look almost as dramatic as falsies. It also seems to be gentle to my lashes in application and removal. This is a biggie as my lashes turned short and sparse from trying new mascaras and only now did they recover.
Docking a lippie not for it lacking in volume but because it’s not as widely available as my current standby, Cover Girl Remarkable Professional, which gives volume but only a little length. It’s also $3 more expensive than the Cover Girl. But my girlfriend told me that sometimes Target has 20% off Boots No7 products from time to time so I’ll be on the hunt for that and clear out their stock of this mascara.

Great lengthening mascara but if you’re looking for any kind of volumne keep looking. I love the ease of separating each lash and the fact that I can add a few coats without clumping. The brush is more comb-like which many lengthening mascaras tend to favor. The mascara does last all day without smudging or flaking which is always a plus! I even like the packaging in the cute gold tube. I would definately buy again but I do have to buy a separate mascara for volumne and drama. Great everyday mascara.

I’ve been searching for an easy to apply lengthening mascara. I like Dior, but I don’t want to have to wipe excess off on a tissue everyday. I read about this one in Real Simple magazine and decided to try it. I love it! It doesn’t give the volume of Dior or other high end mascaras, but the length and separation is wonderful. Well worth the price tag. It does not clump, flake, or run. If I need more drama, I out DiorShow on top, but for everyday it is perfect. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by this, if you’re looking for length.
