Bought this in Green & Purple as i was looking for colored mascara and these are so chep ($.94 each). The green one is OK – on par 9color wise) with the limited edition Maybelline Great Lash i got a few years back, but the purple (really more like a lilac shade) makes my lashes look grey.
Both versions have a clumpy formula that is not so easy to apply given the super tiny brush.
Not great – but for less than a buck, who cares?
Alas, i still search for a quality COLORED mascara (not black, brown or navy blue) for those “special” occasions. I wish MAC would bring theirs back from years ago.

I love the convenience of this little mascara. It’s small enough to keep stashed in my purse — not that regular mascaras can’t fit or anything — it’s just so cute and small and feels right to keep in there.
The formula is nice, not clumpy, and a rich black color. I haven’t found that the mascara runs or gives me raccoon eyes, but I rarely have that problem with mascaras (I blame my chronic dry eye for that, lol.)
My favorite part would have to be the size of the applicator. The little teeth (whatever they’re called) are small enough to reach even the tiniest of lashes, especially the bottom ones.
I think this stuff cost me a dollar, which is great. I personally love the small sizes of the Sally Girl products because you’re most likely to use up all of the product before it goes ‘bad’ and truly get your money’s worth.

I wasn’t expecting much from this little $0.99 gem.
Especially upon first glance.
The wand is so tiny….the bristles are all bunched up. Which reminds me, since the wand is so small, it’s easy to start from the upper lash line, creating the effect of liquid liner or even tight lining. Which I’ve found is the best way to apply this fast-drying formula.
Most girls make the mistake of moving this itsy bitsy mascara wand up-and-down against their lashes, which with other regular sized mascaras produces mediocre results at best. But when using this method with a Sally Girl Mini Mascara, you’ll have the effect of fake, clumpy, yet whoreish looking peepers.
I’m sure most make-up experts apply their mascara by wriggling it back-and-forth too. With regular sized mascaras, this is the best way to apply it to your lashes. However with *this* certain mascara, I tried using that exact same method myself, and my lashes looked HORRIBLE. They all clumped together into one big uni-lash.
So just as a reminder, in order to apply this mascara correctly due to its bristle sizes, you *must* apply this mascara at the base of your upper lash line, gently lifting up.
Other than that crazy con, I’ve found a lot of positives towards this mascara.
For starters, on a positive note, the tube is so small and lightweight, it’s perfect for travel. It slides down comfortably into the nook of my jean pocket, easily ready to be pulled out at anytime.
Sally Girl Mini Mascara also doesn’t flake or smear. It’s a long lasting formula that’s sure to provide happiness at any given moment only if applied correctly.
