I’ve started using tube mascara for two reasons: almost all regular mascaras smudge on me, and my eyes are easily irritated by mascaras. This mascara doesn’t smudge and doesn’t irritate my eyes, but it’s still not that great. Especially for being the original/most hyped tube mascara. The formula is pretty dry, and my lashes look way shorter than they usually do. The volume is alright, but the finished look is very tame, or natural if you will. This is partly my experience with tube mascaras overall (hard to build any dramatic volume), but for example Idun Minerals’ Vatn tube mascara is a wetter formula that coats the lashes better, it is a richer black and it gives more length. The worst thing with this mascara, however, is that it flakes pretty badly. By the end of the day you can actually see the effect on the lashes, where the mascara have come off at the top of the lashes. If you happen to take a nap (life is tiring and sometimes you need one, okay) while wearing this mascara, it will practically be gone when you wake up.
The packaging fell apart right away for me (the metal tube/sleeve is glued on top of a plastic tube, and the metal sleeve came right off), but maybe that was just bad luck.
I don’t know if the original formula is any better than the amplified version, but I’m not keen to find out. For the price (around $25-28 here in Sweden) I expected much, much more from this brand.
+ Cruelty free (PETA certified)
+ Non-irritating
+ Doesn’t smudge
+ Separates the lashes
+ Easily removed with water and a little pressure
– Flakes
– Very non-dramatic look
– Formula is too dry for my liking, which I think is part of why it makes so little impact. It doesn’t coat the lash very well.
– I like a smaller brush – this one is very big and I often make a mess because of it

I wanted to love this. I really did. But after 2 weeks of use I have to throw it out. My biggest problem is it starts to flake before the end of the day and causes so much irritation my eyes get red, watery and itchy. By 8pm lots of it is gone completely, having fallen off all over my face. It has a VERY dry formula and a fat brush (opposite to regular Blinc) and I find it tricky to apply without getting on my lids. I’ve had fewer issues with Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes so will probably have to go back to that as Blinc Amplified causes so much burning and irritation after 10-12 hours of wear

This, along with Kevyn Aucoin’s The Volume Mascara, lasts most of the day on me. It elongates my lashes and gives perfect volume. Good thing it is available at Sephora.

I have tried many many waterproof mascaras from very high priced to very low priced. I had never found 1 that didn’t smudge at some point after applying. Most would smudge just like regular mascara within an hour and then be really hard to remove at the end of the day. Blinc Amplified Mascara goes on easily and stays put until I wash it off. Oh, and the best part is that with just warm water it comes off like a dream – no waterproof makeup remover, makeup remover, soap required – it’s a miracle. Very happy 54 year old customer.

Honestly the best mascara I have ever used. Literally every single mascara I’ve tried before this one would smear around my eyelids within an hour. I’ve tried probably at least 100. This one has never failed me. Ever. I will probably never buy another mascara again and if this ever discontinues I will cry (and you wouldn’t see a single smudge) while I buy whatever quantity they have left in stock. I have tried other tubing mascaras but they just flake (looking at you, L’Oréal). I like the Amplified best rather than the original because of the way it coats my lashes – very even, feathery, and natural looking. The original kind of went on clumpy. I will buy Blinc Amplified forever and ever.

Great mascara for every day use, bright black color, great brush, definitely adds some volume to the lashes. Doesn’t last long (1.5-2 months overall), but it’s so convenient for everyday casual makeup and perfect for trips. I always have it and keep rebuying. The last one I bought in sephora and it was a bit too dry, it should be a bit liquid when you open it and will be get perfect consistency in 2-3 days. Easy to remove with just water – you can’t beat it. I tried other brands that offer similar formula but this one was the best: brush, coverage, removal.

I love this for an everyday mascara that stays put, makes my lashes look extremely long, and holds curl! I use it over the Blinc lash primer in black. The lash primer could be worn as mascara on its own, but I love the “sealing” effect the tubes have on my lashes. I feel like they’re protected from everything all day. This mascara does everything a mascara should do, plus it removes with shocking ease. Waterproof mascaras, if worn all the time, give me dark circles under my eyes, like stains, that nothing removes. With this mascara I get the “drama” and hold like waterproof, but none of the difficulty with removal. I can’t imagine anyone not being pleased with this if they are regular wearers of mascara. It’s likely the best innovation in mascara, ever.

If you have ever worn contacts, you know the importance of choosing the right mascara. Blinc is light weight and it truly does add a look of bigger thicker lashes. It’s totally rain proof and smear proof. The one drawback I found was that I ended up with fewer lashes. When I tried to remove it, it would at times pull my lashes out. That’s just not desirable so I only wore it for “events”. It’s a great mascara otherwise.

I was very excited to try Blinc’s “tube” mascara. I used to use Loreal tube mascara for many years until I upgraded out of drugstore mascara. Needless to say this Blinc version is just OK. Definitely coats each eyelash so there volume and with additional coats to the end you can also lengthen the lash. Good black color. Did not flake off. Removal is a little different as use just plan warm water to remove. At least for me it does not remove individual tubes like the Loreal mascara, but it becames loose clumps. Did not irritate my sensitive eyes. Love the brush on this mascara. Need to be careful as not to gunk up the top of the tube as the brush top will not close the tube completely and mascara will dry out.

I really like this mascara. I use a primer underneath this mascara to add fullness, which makes my lashes look longer & thicker, no matter what mascara I use. Now, NO MORE RACOON EYES! ????
I have not had any issues with loosing lashes as one woman stars she did (states she lost 4 lashes in one day). I do go through periods of time when I lose a few lashes but it’s cyclical for me (2-3 times a year). I love that I don’t have to buy mascara remover, that’s plus. I have been in the rain & my mascara did not run, as long as you don’t rub you eyes at all. BTW, I do use the mascara on both my upper & lower lashes. At night, just warm water & very mild pressure & it comes right off. Less stains on my wash cloths too. I do love this mascara, wish it would lengthen my lashes, you can use a tube of fibers to help with that but I don’t like those loose fibers, maybe it’s me but I don’t do well applying the fibers. I have on one special occasion used a lengthening mascara then put the Blinc over that (with a disposable wand) so I wouldn’t get raccoon eyes. Otherwise, as it is, I think it’s great for everyday use. I do also think the amplified works better than the regular Blinc mascara. Have used this product for years. I am happy with it, & no I do not work for the company, have never been asked to give a positive review for the company either (I know there has been a lot of that going around on Amazon).
