This is the first ever mascara i own. It’s pretty decent, really. It doesn’t curl up my lashes that much. I would usually just curl my lashes with an eyelash curler first. I would say it doesn’t perform as well as the name states, ‘BARBIE’. The more i wore, the clumpier it gets. Tho, you should be careful with it. Since it has quite big bristles, it’s not very suitable for the lower lashes.
Almost or all of maybelline’s mascaras are quite hard to remove. I don’t mind that because why? Here’s a tip for you. I never really use the typical makeup remover to remove it. I only used olive oil. That thing is strong and super cheap! I would pour or wet my 2 fingers (thumb & index finger) with olive oil then rub my eyelashes carefully till the mascara has removed completely. Take some tissue, clean your fingers then wipe your eyelids with it. Easy peasy, completely safe and good for your lashes.
I’d say this mascara is pretty decent. I wouldn’t buy this again as there are much2 better mascaras out there that i should try.

I bought this mascara due to cheap sale, it is half of its original price. Actually I have been eyeing on this mascara for quite sometimes but I am not buying it until recently as it is on sale and I really want to give it a try. It has a nice, sharp colour packaging,as the name given, “Barbie”, it is something fancy, cute, girly. Just like the rest of the Maybelline mascara, it is quite a bulky bottle and takes much much of the storage space in my makeup box. The reason why I said so, is because most of the mascara I owned, are in slimmer bottles for easy storage.
Magnum Barbie Mascara comes with quite a decent curve brush and the “lashes” of the brush are just nice for me, as I have short and fine eye lashes and long and thick brush will make it hard to apply and I always accidentally brush on my eye areas as well. Clumsy and make it a mess on my makeup. On the first application, the effect is quite average. But I can see my eye lashes are curler. Then I follow with a second application, and I can see the result which is quite significant. My eye lashes are curler and extended and look thicker. I am happy with the result and it lasts for whole day. 😀
Now, the problem comes when I want to remove it. I use cream makeup removal which usually can remove all my makeup, mascara, browcara at one go with two applications. No fuss and everything done in a few minutes. But with this Magnum Barbie Mascara……..I cannot remove it with my cream makeup removal and I have to use Bifesta Cleansing Lotion to get rid of it. For me, Bifesta Cleansing Lotion is the most powerful makeup removal even if it is water resistant/water proof makeup. Unfortunately, this Magnum Barbe Mascara cannot even be removed totally! There are alot of mascara particles falling off and various vigorous rub one both my eyes do not help at all!!!!!!! The mascara still firmly sticks on my eye lashes and my eye lashes are fall off as well. WTH! My eye areas end up feeling burnt after I “violently” want to remove it a few times. I use four cotton pads with Bifesta but it just cleanses a bit more. I am so angry and regret of using this Magnum Barbie Mascara and after wiping it off, I feel that my eye areas are sticky and tight as if I do not cleanse it away properly. Until the next day, I can still see the leftover mascara remain intact on my eye lashes. It does not go away totally.
If you want a mascara with really really good water proof effect, this will be the one, because even Bifesta cannot remove it easily. I really will not recommend anyone with this Magnum Barbie Mascara unless you have a very very strong makeup removal that can literally remove anytime as stubborn as this. Nice packaging, nice and trendy colour but it is such a pain to remove it. I will not repurchase it as I already have a problem in finishing my current vial. 🙁

I ever saw a YouTube beauty vlogger used this and bought this. First apply it doesn’t give much different. So I apply it more and more and my eyes look so open and wide.. But it doesn’t make my lashes thick as Gigi has lol
This product is not bad or great either so I don’t think I will purchase this again.

just bought this yesterday as it was on sale and Gigi Hadid endorses it!!
however, Its in the bin today. my eyes BURNED the moment i applied it, perhaps a bad batch but i started tearing up so bad ):
its also extremely difficult to get off ur lashes.
will not recommend.

I love this mascara but it is too clumpy and spidery for my lashes. It made my lashes look all black and clumpy. However, the formula is good but kind of gooey. The packaging is so cute. I love it because Gigi Hadid is the model and the color of the tube is eyecatching. It gives plumpness but does not lengthen. The price is very reasonable for a 3/5 stars mascara

Its from the Magnum range. Like its name, Barbie…it ‘opens’ my eye giving me that wide eye look. Its carbon black and doesnt clump. Coats individual lashes and separates. I applied a lot. Now the trick to having nice eyes is to apply 2 types of mascara. So I applied over UD perversion mascara. Then, I did look like a doll or sthg. I dont use false lashes becos that stuff is no ‘bueno’ in the long run. Barbie Magnum + UD comes off with eye make up remover… loss some lashes in the process!
It does give me that raccoon eye and smudges after a whole day of errands. Not really waterproof.The price… well its a newbie on the mascara shelf, so it was pricey. The yellow ,pink neon packaging is nice and I must say… I got this becos of the word “Barbie” inscribed on the tube…. lols… Now, it becomes some limited edition, celebrity inspired collectors item we all collect at some point in our lives!!! I may not get a second tube becos there`s always sthg new to try in the market. For now i do like my doll fluttering lashing lashes… blink blink wink wink!!!!
