I think this mascara is fairly average – no better or worse than many on the market. To start, the packaging is very nice and looks higher end. The spoolie is a normal size and a more traditional type, which I prefer. I don’t see this mascara on Almay’s website anymore, so it must be on its way out – but you can still find it at some stores. I first got turned on to this because I was looking for a tubing mascara and this one also came in a black brown, which seems harder to find these days. Black is usually ok on me, but it can look a little harsh and I like the more natural look that black-brown provides. I don’t find this to provide any significant length, but it does add a little and to a lesser extent, volume. I find that while this is a nice everyday mascara, it is not dramatic enough for night. This mascara does not smudge or flake easily, and lasts all day. It also can be removed easily. I would not mind repurchasing, I just wish it had more oomph to it.

I like it, but perhaps that’s because I don’t look for volume in a mascara. I just want length, long fluttery *non-clumping* length. And this does that for me (plus, I do like the packaging)!
It was a learning curve, but now I realize I have to curl, apply the mascara–then wait. After a bit I re-curl–and it looks great. Very long feathery lashes, just as I want. No spiders here.

I was very disappointed with this product, because I usually like Almay mascaras. I was looking for something like the Thrive liquid extensions mascara, which was more affordable, and came across this. I didn’t find this to be anywhere close, and really just seemed to me like a cheap mascara (for beginners). It wouldn’t even build up for me, and I even tried using a good primer. Just not for me.

I am on my second tube of this. I know it is a new mascara but they all tend to dry out fast. Even my beloved Kevin Aucoin Curling tubing mascara does. That said, this one costs roughly a fourth and gives me similar results. Truth be told, I like the taper of the Kevin Aucoin brush better then this one with the Too Faced shape. My lashes are naturally very long yet very blonde. Being able to get to the root is important. I have a problem with most mascaras smearing down my face. Don’t get me started in the I love this 5 minutes later I hate this with Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes. Waterproof mascaras tend to dry out my lashes and are generally dry flaky formulas to work with. Tubing mascaras are perfect for someone with my type of lashes. This one is a lighter weight then the Kevin Aucoin, and the Blinc. It is thicker than the Trish McEvoy and not as gel shiny which I like. Removal is easy. I also like the brown/black option. I tend to get compliments on my lashes and not my mascara formula when I wear it although I find the black gives me enough impact for heavier eye looks. At $6.99 I can get both with no regrets. It is a good buy for the money.

Seriously disappointed in this mascara. Th brush is too big to get the smaller corner lashes, it goes on VERY wet, and is flaking around my eyes within an hour. No volume or extra length to speak of, just darker lashes with a lot of mess.

I was soooooooo excited to see another tubing mascara finally available at the drug store, and especially since it is offered in black, brown/black, and blue/black. I immediately grabbed a blue/black one, headed home, tore into the packaging and was shocked at just how badly this product SUCKED! First, it came out of the tube with the goopiest mess on the bristles. It was DISGUSTING. Okay, try again. Insert the wand and pull it out again, a little better this time but still had to wipe the hunk of crap off the tip. Forge ahead and try to apply it. You would think I would start complaining about clumpy lashes now but oh no…….. NOTHING. Yup, NOTHING. Zero product applied. Swipe and swipe and swipe and NOTHING. WTF???? Back it goes.

I have tried tubing mascara many years ago..Blinc comes to mind and stopped using them as they were just a splurge every now and then. When I saw this in Walmart and other new Almay items, I had to try this. Clump city, people. Lots of product on the wand and too wet. I had to wipe the wand every time. And waste of product. The brush is huge and not tapered to get into the inner corners. Didn’t make my lashes any longer and no volume whatsoever. I also tried it over another mascara, CG’s Lash Exact. Still clumpy. I didn’t get any tubing effect either when I washed this off. I only like the fact that this comes in a black/brown, and it didn’t flake off or irritate my eyes. Not buying this again.

New Edit: So Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara has lost a lot of points based on my experience yesterday as I spend the entire day being poked in the eye by a particle to small to see but huge in terms of pain. I am glad that this issue was resolved by simply removing the mascara without the need for eyedrops but I have fallen out of love for the mascara really hard. Although it gives me a natural fringe of lashes that lasts, the application is just difficult to get the results that I want as I need to comb away clumps before the tubes form, doable for great results, but messy and now literally a pain. I am able to say, however that although I teared and blinked all day, the mascara remained looking the same until night time, no smearing or fallout (once dry and in place, but lots to clean up during application) but it’s now worth the time and trouble. The main draw for me, past the tubing aspect that I adore it that it came in a black-brown color.
I am so happy to report that the Revlon tubing mascara in the turquoise tube now comes in blackened – brown, and it s truly easy to apply low-mantance mascara that also gives great results with little effort. It is now my HG mascara and I will be stocking up. The brush for the Revlon mascara is much smaller than Almay’s and does it all, darkening, lengthening and adding volume with the use of fibers I never see flaking and falling all over the place, issues I have with other lash products. I recommend the Revlon Multiplier over Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara but will leave my first thoughts below as a reference.

Edit: Just an update to say go ahead and wipe the wand, especially if the tube is new. I don’t think tubing mascaras apply well if the layer is too thin, making this not the mascara to lay down a barely there base coat, but there is more than one needs on the spoolie when first opening the package and without cleaning it it is just messy to use and a little clumpy.

As I have mentioned in past reviews, tubing mascara takes some getting used to but is well worth it for its wear-ability. I must admit that at first glance i did not have good results with Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara and actually looked back at my past tubing mascara reviews on for some application tips.
Trying again, I made long root to tip stokes without wiggling the brush or focusing on the tips of my lashes as both movements create uneven, clumpy tubes that look unnatural. I really like to load up open the primer for tubing mascara as alone as tubing mascaras don’t create a lot of drama on their own. I even like to apply a tubing mascara over other formulas to keep the fallout at bay. This works well, except for the random chunk that seems to migrate when I least expect, leaving me looking sooty, wearing too much makeup that is all over the place or one of those smaller dogs with pigmented tears as I tend develop black eye snot in the corners of the eyes even the morning after, having properly removed my makeup at night.
Because the laying of mascara for me can add drama but is problematic, I was really happy to find that Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara seems to have enough of an effect that I can wear it alone. It lengthens without denying me volume, and I appreciate that after cleaning up my eye area after application I do not continue to have issues with flaking or smearing.
I am also really happy that this tubing mascara comes in brown-black as many only come in darker shades. I have dark hair, pale skin with warm/neutral undertones and dark blue/green blueberry eyes. I love brown-black mascaras thinking of them as “warm blacks” as a true black I find unnatural. Black may look like a nice makeup effect, but brown-black gives me the effect of nice eyelashes, a difference I find to be very important. The effect here is a a level of almost FX makeup in terms of a polished, envious no-makeup makeup look.
I am also happy to say that these tubes do come of easily with warm water, they also slip off easily with jojoba oil, a plus as I truly hate wetting my face with water as I makes my eczema-prone skin dry and unhappy feeling.
It is also worth noting that I don’t clean the brush before application as too small amount seems to not form the tubes evenly also leaving an unfinished, clumpy look that oddly one can’t build upon.
I am really happy to have found out from watching a video that this is a tubing mascara! I saw this in the store but did not think much of it, but was really excited when I found out. After playing around with it I do think this may be my day to day product. Because of the oil I add to my face to combat dryness, something that interferes with the application of most mascara because of oil migration to my lids, I don’t have a lot of interest in wearing anything else for the time being and recommend giving Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara a chance.

My face eats makeup, all makeup but especially eye makeup including waterproof mascaras. This is a drugstore tubing mascara which I know brands have claimed to have, but in my experience they haven’t worked out that way (lasting plus warm water removal) and so far my only successful mascara experience has been the Clinique tubing mascara.
I love the ugly orange tube (and the new font! Way to go, Almay! I was giving you up for dead!) – almost subconsciously it reminds me of Cover Girl’s original Lash Blast which I, like 90% of the mascara buying population, bought in the mid-aughts, I got it in blue-black because I half expected to have to throw it in the garbage can or return it, but over four days it’s been a dedicated trooper. Unlike its Orange cousin, this wand is easy to hold and the brush is easy to use, too. The first time I wore it over the Voluminous primer and that gave it some oomph. It’s decidedly not a PAPOW glamourous volume mascara, but it doesn’t claim to be. It darkens and lengthens my lashes and with a fairly rare at the drugstore color, too. It comes off easily and I don’t have transfer at the end of the day. If I want more heft, I can use the primer, but my look is just me, better. It works and if it keeps working, it just bumped Clinique off my mascara throne.

Editing to add/update: I coat my lashes in a bit of oil before applying this and its killed the spider lash issue. This is now giving me the exact results Blinc Amplified did at less than half the cost. I could never do this oil trick with a regular mascara because oil dissolves traditional mascaras (washables/waterproof) but tubing mascara is resistant to oil (the point of it is only warm water removes it).

I guess I’m once again the first to submit a review on new products. I bought this off of Amazon since local stores are taking their sweet time stocking it. It is december of 2017 as I write this and there aren’t many drugstore tubing options. Unfortunately most of the affordable ones on the market suck for various reasons.
Almay Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara may not be HG quality in my book. I will have to work with it a bit using new techniques to see if it can beat my precious $$$ Blinc Amplified. The ONLY issue I have with this (Almay) tubing mascara is that the formula is pretty clumpy upon opening the new tube. I have a bad feeling it will be disgusting by the end of the month. I’m hoping that a lash comb helps solve the spider lashes issue & I’m able to save money. Expect an update. It’s either being upgraded to holy grail status or demoted to the trashcan. We shall see.
Other than that, this is a great product. It lengthens, gives volume, and truly is a tubing mascara. My pizzaface’s oil won’t dissolve the product so there’s no raccoon eyes here. The brush is fluffy instead of small and sturdy. I prefer that because it tends to make application a breeze. I end up with a more dramatic look. My favorite thing about this mascara however is above all, it doesn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes. A lot of mascaras cause me to feel a dry eye sensation.
