   This is not an HG mascara, yet it’s a flawlessly decent, cruelty-free and low-cost mascara for those that like a more natural look. I appreciate that Catrice does not do animal testing. Using the mascara is easy. I locate it does not spot however it often leaves a flake or two when using. The actual small molting that occurs on application is easy to eliminate so it’s not a deal breaker. If you like an all-natural look (and also I do), you will find this mascara functions in addition to many higher valued brand names. OTOH, if you want remarkable high-impact mascara, much better give this a pass.

   After attempting the Lashes to Eliminate non-waterproof variation of this mascara, I chose to try the water resistant variation. The applicator is really rigid with short bristles. This uncommon applicator does a respectable task of separating the lashes, specifically with the first layer. I found that this mascara has to be layered as a single layer just smudges the lashes as well as adds nothing else to it. More layers include volume. However, including layers can trigger some of the lashes to stick together. Despite the amount of layers I included I can not obtain it to add length to the lashes. I was not specifically pleased with the dried out result, as the dried mascara resembles it might flake off at any moment. It also has concerns with clumping on application, although most of these clumps can be combed out. The formula is true to its water resistant name as well as does hold a crinkle for those people with weak lashes. At $5.99 this mascara is an excellent bargain. The only reason I will not repurchase is due to the clumping concerns.

The handle of the brush is flat like in some ink eyeliners, so you have more control. It’s kinda dry since the very first use, so if you like that (I am definitely a dryish mascara person), it’s a good option. I used to buy Essence All Eyes on Me in waterproof all the time, but it seems that the formula is more liquid now (again, maybe it’s your preference). The only thing I would change is to make the brush narrower, like in the Essence mascara I mentioned, or less dense. But overall it’s a decent daytime mascara. It survives my cardio with grace lol. Try it if you are looking for a new wp mascara.

   This is not an HG mascara, but it’s a perfectly decent, cruelty-free and inexpensive mascara for those who like a more natural look. I appreciate that Catrice doesn’t do animal testing. The very minor flaking that happens on application is easy to remove so it’s not a deal breaker. If you like a natural look (and I do), you will find this mascara works as well as many higher priced brands. OTOH, if you want dramatic high-impact mascara, better give this one a pass.

This unusual applicator does a decent job of separating the lashes, particularly with the first layer. I found that this mascara has to be layered as a single layer only blackens the lashes and adds nothing else to it. Further layers add volume. Unfortunately, adding layers can cause some of the lashes to stick together. No matter how many layers I added I could not get it to add length to the lashes. I was not particularly satisfied with the dried result, as the dried mascara looks like it could flake off at any moment. It also has issues with clumping on application, although most of these clumps can be combed out. The formula is true to its waterproof name and does hold a curl for those of us with weak lashes. At $5.99 this mascara is a good bargain. The only reason I will not repurchase is because of the clumping issues.

   Amazing mascara ! Afordable and lasts enough. It is very precise for curved mascara and it is not clumpy at all. This is my ultimate drugstore mascara I recomend to all. For 5euro, it is unbeatable!

   Honestly have so much love for this mascara. It is so affordable and I prefer it over some of the bigger brands I have tried (Benefit/Mac)

   I have thin almost straight lashes and the wand on this mascara separates them perfectly with no clumping! I find it sooo difficult to find a mascara that applies smoothly to my lashes, a lot them look grainy even when just bought. Not this one!

   This also does not smudge and has good wear.
   I use a Balea waterproof eye-makeup remover €1.75 with it and it melts off pretty easily 🙂

    I have the non-waterproof version of this mascara in “ultra black” .
    I have short straight asian lashes and I was looking for something that would give a little volume without clumping and this delivers. I did find it a bit dry but found it helped build better than with a thinner consistency mascara, I do find you have take time to apply this properly for best results, the wand is a standard bristle wand, it comes with enough product on it to build up at the base of your lashes but you do have to make sure to lift you lashes up and wiggle the wand at the base, then comb out the tip a few times.
    It doesn’t flake, smudge and is decent at holding a curl.
    It comes off easily with non oily eye makeup remover provided you let it soak a bit before rubbing it off, but it’s not HG status for me.
    It’s very good but not amazing.

    My lashes are sparse, thin, have an average length and stick straight. I expect mascara to hold a curl and that’s why I prefer the waterproof versions.
    This mascara held my curl perfectly, gave decent volume and length. It was also rather easy to take off at night, using mineral oil and waterproof eye make up remover, which is very important for me.
    I just didn’t like that this mascara dried up so fast, like in three weeks.
    I can’t comment on smudging. I would buy again if I’m on a budget but otherwise I’ll stick to Maybelline mascaras.
