This is a very good mascara and it’s affordable. It’s one of the few that I can use it on my bottom lashes because it doesn’t smudge. That alone is impressive.
PROS:
1) This reminds me a lot of Lancome Definicils. The brush is similar except that Kokie’s tip is a little bigger. I can catch tiny lashes with the tip. It’s a good, rich black.
2) It separates my lashes nicely and doesn’t clump, even on the second coat.
3) It doesn’t smudge under my eyes.
4) It washes off easily with First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser or Drunk Elephant’s Pekee Bar.
5) It’s cheap. I paid less than eight dollars.
CONS:
1) It’s called “Volume & Length Mascara,” but I get more volume and length from Lancome’s Monsieur Big, Dior Show, or the Japanese mascaras from Isehan.
This isn’t waterproof, but it’s not marketed as a waterproof mascara.
Since Kokie calls this the Volume & Length Mascara, I wish it gave me more of both. However, it’s good for a natural daytime look. If I use lash primer, I can get closer to the length I want. Lashes feel a bit stiff when the mascara has dried, but they don’t feel brittle. It’s unusual for me to find a mascara that I can use on the bottom lashes because most of them smudge. I would buy this again.

Best mascara i have ever used! And i have tried them all. Layers nicely, super black, and doesn’t smear. It’s a little wet, but i actually prefer my mascara that way, you just have to apply with caution bc it can get messy. Totally worth it!

Amazing product! Best drugstore mascara by far. Tati and Kathleen lights love this product, and they were right, it’s amazing. Reminds me of roller lash, but far more affordable.

I tried this based on OMGURTEEF’s comment. I was well impressed. Let me just start by saying my lashes are almost non-existent. Short and sparse, typical old person’s lashes. Well, this mascara actually makes me look like I have lashes. But it works best when used with a lash primer. I could not believe how good my lashes looked.
Another poster complained about this being too wet. That’s why it works so well with the primer. I tried L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara with a primer, but I didn’t like the results. It was adding goop on top of goop. My lashes looked gooped-up, but not better. And certainly not longer. With this mascara my lashed get not only thick, but longer, as well. I love the small brush. Big brushes are not good for small lashes like mine. And you can’t beat the price.
Thank you, OMGURTEEF. I will keep an eye on your posts. ????

It seems like every time a new “hit” mascara comes out, it doesn’t work for me. I like length and volume (which is why I thought it would work), I need something that will hold a curl, and I like it when it’s light. This mascara has its hits and misses.
YAYS!
– Lengthens
– Small wand (personal preference)
– Fiber wand (again, personal preference)
MEHS..
– Didn’t volumize as well as it lengthens
– Held a curl better than other mascaras, but not enough that I was impressed
BLEHCKS!
– Wet and glumpy
– Took long too long to dry
– Wand has too much product
– Made my eyes uncomfortable throughout the day- seemed like it didn’t dry 100%
– Messy when applying- Too easy to get all over lids
– Difficult to add extra coats
– HEAVY!!!
Overall, if you’re not bothered by the blehcks, you may like this mascara. I personally did not have success with it, so I will not be repurchasing.

Oh wow this stuff is awesome. Better than Wet ‘n Wild Lash Renegade. Better than Milani Lash Trifecta. Better than Better Than Sex. It’s topped all three previous HG mascaras for me because this stuff is so great.
First off, if you want volume, you’ll get volume. The more you build this up, the more of a false-lash effect you get. But it’s also super lengthening, and basically clump-free! I don’t get any flaking, and while it’s not waterproof, I don’t find it’s prone to smudging. It seems to hold a curl well too.
The packaging has a drugstore look (it’s not super pretty, but I don’t care), and the wand is amazing. It’s a long, somewhat slim conical brush with plastic bristles (it’s not a rubber wand), and I find that the density of the bristles is perfect. The slim styling also prevents blorping mascara all over my lid.
The price at just over $7 is slightly more expensive than the WnW or Milani ones, but it’s worth it in my opinion, and doesn’t even come close to the price of BTS.
Kokie is a cruelty-free brand, which makes me very happy as well.
I’m just going to head to Walmart and buy a crap ton as backup, seeing as Youtube is abuzz with this brand and I suspect this mascara will become difficult to get my hands on for a spell.
