I think this mascara gets a bit of a bad rap. You have to apply it carefully, and wipe some of the product off of the wand prior to putting it on.
Other than that- it’s great. Lengthens, makes them look more full. Stays on all day with minimal flaking. I use coconut oil to remove eye makeup and it comes right off. In addition, my eyes are sensitive and react badly to a lot of mascaras and this one does not bother me. I would purchase again.

Surprises me that big cosmetics companies like Stila can’t master the mascara game as well as drugstore brands like L’Oréal. This mascara goes on wet and lumpy, doesn’t lengthen or fatten very well, and worst of all, completely takes the curl out of my lashes making them look flat. When there are great mascaras for a quarter of the price, why even spend money on “prestige” brands of mascara that don’t work?

Amazing Mascara packaging! That’s it everything else is same as other hyped products, high price performance is okay. But can’t compete with a drugstore good drugstore Mascara. It’s sad but its true. Wouldn’t say that it is the worst Mascara I have ever tried because the new hyped mascaras from Benefit etc. are much worse but this one comes right behind.

I can’t believe the negative reviews here. Just evidence to show people do not know what they are talking about when they write reviews. This is by far the best mascara I have ever tried. It’s really thickening without clumping and if you manipulate the wand correctly will it will curl. What I love though about it is that it doesn’t smudge and is totally tear proof yet washes off very easily without leaving raccoon eyes. If you don’t like thick lashes though this is not for you. I needed a new mascara and was at duty free so bought a lancome one and immediately regretted it. Tried the better than sex one in a shop and it wasn’t nearly as good. Now I’m repurchasing and never buying anything else.

Nice packaging and a reasonable wand but terrible formula: doesn’t add any length, clumps like crazy and then smudges badly throughout the day. I can’t believe such “high end” mascara can be that bad, I’m glad I only got a sample – if I had paid the full price I’d be very disappointed…

I received a Stila HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara as part of my SephoraPlay box a few months ago. I like the packaging and color payoff. It is sometimes clumpy, but if you are careful to wipe the excess off on the side of the bottle, it should be less so. Overall, a good mascara.

This is my favourite mascara (along with tarte lights camera lashes). Ive realised that when it comes to reviews, people have different expectations when it comes to certain products, so something I really love may be rated low by many others because their expectations are completely different to mine. One good example is with this mascara. What I like in a mascara is for it to be quite dramatic; I want the full potential from my natural eyelashes, when not wearing fake eyelashes (as I am someone who wears falsies on a regular basis). This is dramatic, black and makes your eyelashes look pretty good.
I have average lashes btw, so theyre not wow amazing like falsies, but theyre not bad at all either- like I can still make them look good with a really good mascara. This mascara works way better than many others. It can clump up after many coats (like at 3rd coat), but sometimes I like clumpy mascara because it makes my eyelashes stand out and show more (as long as its not the type of clumpy that sticks your eyelashes together and makes you look like you have only 3 lashes lol).
If you like thin natural subtle mascaras, you will not like this one. Just for comparison, this does a bit more than the too faced better than sex mascara.
Also, I do not use this on my bottom lashes, as the wand is too big to fit there, and I dont want my bottom lashes looking bigger than my top, so I use a different mascara for them.
I have not experienced any issues with this mascara, and its fairly easy to wash off with warm water.It doesnt dry out quickly in the packaging.
This mascara also works really well over falsies.
Overall, if you love mascaras that give your eyelashes their full potential, you should prob try this out.

i like the dramatic effect and true black color this mascara provides. if you are not quick about layering on second coat, it can clump the lashes. as this is not waterproof, it does tend to leave dark rings under the eye after wearing for a bit. so i finish off this mascara with a single coat of waterproof mascara to seal it on. i have hooded eyes, so lashes tend to get more skin encounters/touching than those without hooded eyes. my regime: lash curler (heated with hair dryer to lock in curl), 2 coats of Diorshow Maximizer 3D lash primer, 1-2 coats Chanel waterproof mascara (Le Volume), 2 coats Stila huge extreme mascara, and 1 coat Too Faced Better than Sex (waterproof) to seal it all in. Too Faced product also clumps, so work quickly. then when it is almost dry, i push the lashes upward to seal in the curl. i never use mascara on my lower lashes. my lashes are naturally short and straight, plus i have hooded eyes. hooded eyes benefit from long curled lashes, which camouflage the hood.

I received a travel size of this mascara for free as part of Mecca’s Beauty Loop program. I really like the hourglass shaped brush as it manages to coat all of my lashes evenly. The formula is good, not too wet and easy to work with. It takes a minute or so to dry down. I find that this mascara doesn’t clump. It provides a lot of curl, and length. It makes my eyes look larger and brighter. This mascara wears well throughout the day, and doesn’t flake or smudge. I really like how this mascara makes my eyes look, and I would happily recommend it to anyone.

I was able to purchase this for only $14.99 which was a 2 pk, and they were full size mascaras. It’s messy, and you need q-tips for clean up afterwards. But, to me, the final results are beautiful, amazing, darkest looking lashes. Also, I noticed when I blink, some of the mascara transfers on my bottom lashline, which I like! I’m not talking about the racoon smudge, I mean, this is great, I don’t have to use any eyeliner at all. It’s very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex, and the L’oreal Lash Paradise, but this one gives me that extra liner as I mentioned. I will not repurchase for the full price of $23.00, but I will for the price I was able to find on e-bay. There are great deals! If you want to try a high end mascara, but the prices don’t fit your budget, take a look on e-bay, your favorite high end mascara will be easily found for a very reasonable price. (I also was able to purchase the too faced better than sex mascara on ebay twice for $8.00 and that was for the full size tubes!)
