I do not like anything about this mascara. The wand is useless, a large size with small bristles that do not allow the mascara to apply evenly. The formula is thick and wants clump. Easy to remove and also smuges easily. I like Tarte Tartiest lash paint better.

BAM! Volume!

I’ve heard a lot of good things about the brand, but never tried it until I got a sample size of this mascara. My very first (and lasting) impression is that the formula is really quite dry, which I feel contributes to most problems I have with it. I haven’t seen other people mention the formula being dry though, so perhaps I got one that was unusually dry? Either way, the mascara does give me quite a lot of volume, especially when I really work on my lashes to build it up. Unfortunately, I don’t get to do that as much as I’d want, since I feel like the mascara dries so fast it’ll start to crumble if you don’t stop after two quickly applied coats. The wand is small and very mistake proof (I had no cleaning up to do after using it, which is rare for me), but with its short and sparse spikes it certainly builds volume much more than it gives length. I’m actually really surprised to see some reviewers mentioning it giving them length, because my fairly long lashes looked shorter than they do with any other mascara I’m currently using. And that’s despite using almost exclusively mascaras that are volumizing. I wish for and expect more length even from a volumizing mascara. It didn’t smudge on me too much, which is surprising as some people mentioned that happening, and 9 out of 10 mascaras do smudge on me – even the ones that everyone else swears up and down that they won’t. It does smear though, from the tiniest bit of moisture. If your eyes are even a little bit runny, this mascara is likely not for you. It also crumbles on me, which again has to do with the dry formula. Not impressed, and I wouldn’t splurge on the full size even if the formula isn’t as dry as my sample was.
+ Cruelty free
+ I can barely feel that I have mascara on, which I really appreciate. Gives a weightless feeling, and the lashes aren’t completely stiff either, which I think adds to the comfortable feeling
+ If you’re looking solely for volume, this certainly gives you that
+ If you’re particular about mascaras being easy to wash off, this scores a point there (personally, I’d rather it be a little bit more moisture proof)
+ Doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes
– Dry formula, you can’t work with it for long at all
– Flakes
– Smears at the tiniest bit of moisture
– Gives me no length at all – my lashes actually look unusually short with this mascara

I love this mascara! It can be pricy but is a very nice mascara. It goes on pretty smooth and doesn’t clump your eyelashes but makes them look very nice an and not crazy. It only flakes if you rub your eye because it is not waterproof. It makes my eyelashes stay super long all day. The only thing I don’t like is the smell of the mascara it kinda smell weird but other than that it’s a great mascara!

This is a thick formulation that really does coat the lashes. It’s not waterproof (I normally only wear waterproof mascaras) and it easily smudges after just a couple of hours wear. The brush is ok, a touch too big to really get to the base of my sparse lashes though. It does give a little more volume and a little more thickness but nothing too dramatic. It’s a good basic mascara but not something I reach for often. Wouldn’t repurchase.

This really is a good mascara, but it’s just not my favorite. It gives good volume and separation without clumping. I would recommend Mally’s Volumizing mascara and Covergirl’s Clump Crusher over this mascara because they are both cheaper than this one while giving the same or better results. I have a video talking about these along with other mascaras if you want to check it out.

I received a sample of this in my Birchbox but then forgot about it. Recently I came across it and decided to give it a shot. And I’m so glad I did! It’s one of the most lengthening mascaras I’ve ever worn. Yes, it does clump a bit, but it’s easily remedied by combing through with one of those mini brow combs. Most importantly for me, my eyes lasted the whole day without looking bloodshot.
Overall, very lengthening and great for my sensitive eyes.

I agree with all those who said that the effect of this mascara is really lovely. For me it only receives 3 lipsticks as it smudged and smeared. If you have oily lids or your eyes tend to tear, you may have this same issue.

My lashes have never looked this long with a mascara before. I don’t even need to use a lash curler! I was a little skeptic because the brush is extremely average (think greatlash brush) but the formula honestly has made my lashes look like false eyelash inserts!

WOW did I have a BAD bad reaction to this mascara. Normally, I can wear most eye products as long as I stay away from purple or red or bright blue. Once in a while, I have a reaction to mascara (ie I can wear one of Mally Beauty Mascara in the white tube but not the green tube. I can wear most of the Maybelline.)
This however made my eyes water, gum up and swell. After removing it, the problem persisted for two days! That’s BAD…BAD. I knew it was the mascara because I had only applied mascara as eye makeup because I thought my shadow was bothering me, so I ditched the shadow entirely and went out with mascara only (because, you know, we can’t go out nekkid, can we?)
Well, it was just terrible. And I have to say, as “volumizing” it wasn’t all that and a bag of chips, either. I had better volumizing by far from Mally’s white tube mascara (my HG) and of course Maybelline The Falsies and even Rocket do a better job. IF you have sensitive eyes, I do not recommend this. If you want HUGE volume, there are better choices.
