I like the larger brush. It gives good length and volume. Doesn’t clump and separates the lashes nicely. Occasionally I have issues with smudging, but tried a few other mascaras and always seem to come back to this one. Not perfect but does what I need. The price is average for New Zealand (beauty products are outrageously expensive here).

For the price (CAD 28), I was expecting something at least half-decent but I’ve ended up very disappointed – I don’t like it at all! The oversize brush makes the application quite tricky, I end up with mascara on my eyelids a lot. Also the formula is pretty bad – it seems nice and very dark but it doesn’t do much for my lashes, except making them stick together. I need 4-5 coats to achieve the my normal look, and even using a primer doesn’t help much. I won’t just throw it away but I can’t see myself using it much…

Usually when I review mascaras, I like to discuss the brush, and honestly Smashbox’s Full Exposure mascara’s brush is what kills it.
The brush has a lot of bristles and is conical-shaped. The cone shape makes mascara glob up at the tip and this doesn’t work for my deep-set Asian eyes because if I want to apply mascara on the farther edges of my eyes, I end up with mascara smears on my lids. The brush is also comparatively fluffy and large to other mascaras I own, so every swiping movement is magnified. Never have I ever made so many mistakes with basic application!
Another thing is that the formula is very wet. The wettest. Even after a bit of waiting, blinking gives me raccoon eyes á la Tina Belcher. This mascara is so frustrating.

I like this mascara a lot. It’s the first non-waterproof formula mascara that holds up very well against my oily lids and holds a decent curl. It’s curl holding power is good even though my lashes do droop a bit after application. It volumizes in a natural looking, non-clumpy way, and I’m on my second tube already which says a lot since I like to try out other mascaras.

This mascara is suppose to be waterproof but it’s not at all. It smudges within the hour of having it on. I love the brush though & it’s easy to get lots of lashes in a breeze. Also, it requires a makeup remover to get it off unlike Blinc Amplified Mascara (super waterproof) that comes off with just warm water. I’m 54.

This was a no go for me. It did absolutely nothing and my eyelashes stuck together, one of the worst I’ve tried. I have read good reviews on the waterproof version so I might decide to see how that works for me.

This is by far the best mascara I’ve used in a very long time! Love it. Yes, it has a big brush. So? It gives me long, thick, black lashes every single time. No clumps, no blops. I like that it is washable, yet doesn’t smear. The price isn’t too bad either! Highly recommend!!????

I really like this mascara! Yes the brush is huge But that’s what I like about it, for me the bigger the brush the bigger the lashes! I make sure to start at the bottom from the inside of my lashes and move the brush gently side to side as I swipe up and voila! beautiful voluminous natural looking lashes. The product isn’t too dry or wet and it seems to stay on all day for me (even when I had my eyebrows threaded and had to push down my eyelid)
I understand that everyone is different and for me this mascara is a big 2 thumbs up! It delivers what it promises and the price isn’t too bad at $31 for a full sized mascara. I purchased a travel size (4g) By Terry Mascara for $26! And it did not do half as much as what the Full Exposure mascara does. I actually swapped the Terry Mascara for this and I’m so happy I did!

If you like oversized brushes, this is for you. That is not me. I prefer long but super skinny microbrushes like Innisfree. They take a minute to get used to but then reliably coat every lash with just as much as I want. This one puts on a lot of mascara quickly. So it’s nicely black and slightly lengthening but I have to blot off clots and flakes every time I use it and comb my lashes after it dries. This takes too much time for me. If you like the clumpy look, which some girls do, this would be good for you. But I go for a very natural look, with each lash separated and evenly coated. It takes too much time to get that look with this mascara, even after using it for a month.

I would say this mascara is average. It’s good for everyday use. It lengthens and doesn’t clump. But I prefer a mascara with a little more oomph. My search continues……
