UPDATE: I can cross down everything I’ve written below. After using this mascara for more than a month below statements aren’t true.
This mascara became a clumpy mess. It was perfect during the first month but became disaster afterwards.
It doesn’t curl, it doesn’t cover lashes beautifully, it just clumps!
If you up to buy a new (same) mascara every month, this can be a great choice for you, otherwise stay away from this.
Another month passed by and I can’t use it anymore! It badly irritates my eyes! Rating goes down to 3…
Yet, after trying different mascaras I must say I’ll buy it again.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was looking for a brown mascara (not many brands produce them) and bought this.
It’s the best mascara I ever had!
Pros:
– It makes my thin fair lashes looks way longer;
– It makes my lashes look much thicker, more voluminous;
– It does not clump;
– It does not smuggle all day long;
– I can completely remove it from my eyes with warm water only (I put wet finder under my lashes for it to lightly touch them, and make inward / outward movements. It doesn’t come off straight but after 5 seconds big shuck of mascara a leaving my eyes. I rinse my fingers each time after a couple of movements, and in 30-45 seconds I don’t have any mascara left. No rubbing, no fallen lashes, no makeup remover used)
Cons:
– I haven’t seen any after 2 weeks of everyday use.

Love this new mascara from Laura Mercier. I bought the Coffee Bean shade, and it makes my blue eyes appear even bluer. The shade turns a nice dark brown with no red tones to it; it is a great alternative to black mascara, which can look harsh at times. I was a bit concerned that the brush would be too big for me, but no worries it went on like a dream. The application is wonderful: It volumizes, separates, and lengthens my now thin lashes (at my age the lashes tend to get sparse), and the colour is perfect. Lasts all day and I do not have those dreaded raccoon eyes a the end of the day. I would certainly buy again, and have not noticed any cons that I can list here. It seems perfect for me; and I recommend it.

I’ll be honest – I can not figure out this mascara.
Some days, it is the best mascara I’ve ever used. Smooth, defining, natural but lush, and nary a smudge in sight. The coffee bean color is perfect when I want to augment my (fairly long, generous) lashes but not look “made up.”
Other days, it is a clumpy horror show.
Sometimes, seconds apart it will be awesome on one eye, and awful on the other eye. As I have it longer (about 3 months now, using most but not every day), it seems to be more awful clumpy days than good days.
When it is a clumpy disaster, I can’t even use an eyelash comb to clean it up or separate my lashes — I have to break out the remover and start over completely.
And on that note, it is very difficult to remove. Which is nice in that it stays on all day, even though I usually have a camera smashed against my eye, and/or am riding a motorcycle in the wind. However, I’ve lost a number of eyelashes trying to remove the stuff, using everything from La Prairie to Jojoba oil.
I find the hard applicator brush uncomfortable when trying to get down to the roots of my lashes, but this wouldn’t be a deal-breaker at all if it consistently performed at its best. As is, I’m on the hunt for an alternative.
