This was the second new mascara I decided to try in 2 days, and it also went in the trash after 1 use. I love the original CG exhibitionist mascara (silver component), so I decided to try this. I had to wash it off after about 2 hours. This flakes into tiny minuscule pieces, and the bits were getting into my eye, sticking to my contacts and causing issues. If you at all need to itch or rub your eye— avoid.
I also hated the wand which had a mix of small and longer bristles and it made the formula apply unevenly to my lashes (compared to the original version which is like BTS mascara and I like that type of wand which makes my eyes just pop). The formula was super goopy, I had to wipe it off, and then it didn’t matter how much I applied, it didn’t make my lashes pop. It just weighed them down. I’ll stick with the original CG exhibitionist instead.
This product definitely paid the price. I noticed that there are some locks that also need to be wiped off, and so this mascara just didn’t stand a chance of getting its way! It didn’t hold up with it’t long-acting moisturizing magic, and I really wish they would do a lot more version of this mascara. It just didn’t hold up well enough for me or for the project I was involved in, to complain about mascara reviews or something and think that that the brand was doing something wrong in the process.
I was actually not looking at these lashes right away because it wasn’t my thing that this mascara was oily. I had to brush it down and clean and shave them, and it really took away from my whole look and personal identity. It did have the distinct look of secondhand mascara, but it still didn’t stand a chance at leaving that shine back on.
3. Fun in the bottle. Good. Not without problems.
This product is AWESOME!! It dries like hot butter. I say “hot butter” because it contains soap and water and makes the product last longer than soap and water does on the tube. I used several ways to use it, but it really works for me. Firstly, I have always loved great squeezes made from the plastic, so if you use a squeeze ring I feel bad you will break up the applicator and it would drag from the applicator into the tube. The other two ways I felt good with a squeeze ring was using the 2nd (loose line through the filling tube) while applying this powder in the middle of my brow. I usually spray my brush and wait at least two hours before I use it. The even third would be when applying a crease brush. I hated crease brushes that didn’t apply at all, they weren’t great in blocking out irritation of my lashes or crumping. It was all about lubricating those fine bristles as well, which keeps my lashes clean and supple. Secondly, this product really changed my appearance by being really relaxing. It kept my eyes open, even if it was touching my cheek lightly. Finally, when I applied it, it was easy to clean and a little more moist to cover up with. It changed my life. No lotion!

Editing my original review. While this looked gorgeous for a little while, within a couple weeks, this got incredibly clumpy in the tube and now looks really bad on my lashes. At first, it gave me wonderful volume and length with no flaking or smudging, but now, it’s incredibly hard to work with. I’ll chalk it up to way too much product coming off on the wand, which wasn’t a big problem before, but within a few days, it really became an issue.
I’m sad, because I love the original Exhibitionist mascara and thought maybe this would perform similarly, but it’s just not worth the $8 I paid, since I got less than two weeks of use out of it.
