I don’t know if it is the one I bought but the mascara is terrible. Though it was sealed in plastic (so guaranteed nobody has opened it before me), it’s just dry, clumpy, smudging under my eyes within an hour or two. Definitely a no-no.

OMG this is my favourite mascara EVER! It is awesome, not messy or clumpy, and it really does give you Darling Lashes. 🙂
The only con is that it is a bit pricey at $15 or so. That may be just because personally I would rather spend around 10$ but it is so worth it still!
GOSH has great mascaras. My second favourite is also Gosh, so… 😉
EDIT:
I recently re-purchased this mascara, as well as a couple others. This one just doesn’t compare to my new L’Oreal mascara, unfortunately. I lately just can’t seem to get length out of it. Only volume.

I can’t resist new mascara displays. I tried this and I love it. Of all the new ones I’ve tried, this is the best. Primarily because it gives long, full lashes that are not stiff and fake looking. They actually look lush, long and dark after two coats. There is ONE thing wrong with it, the same thing that’s right with it. You have to be very, very careful not to stab your eye, because one side has long spikes of irregular length and the other side is almost straight. I thought I was being careful as usual, but I still poked my eye. These irregular sides of the wand are to build the colour and then separate. The results are worth it enough that I am using it, with a magnifying mirror and with my eyes closed through the tricky part.
Edit May 5, 2014: I had to throw this away after only a few weeks of use because it dried up and became useless. I cannot recommend it.
Update July 1, 2015: Too bad. I was reviewing photos of myself in which I identified the mascara, and this one looked the best of them all. Even better than all the Diors and Lancomes – full, lush, natural, long, dark, perfect. But the hellishness of applying it and then the tube drying out in a few weeks means I will probably not be getting it again, though I sure am tempted (if they even make it anymore).
Update Aug. 19/15: Surprised to find this still for sale and got a new one. As it gave me stunning lashes before, I really wanted to get it again. And yes, I am happy to report that it’s still wonderful. It’s one of the few with a unique brush that actually has a reason for being different. The short side is a comb and the long side is to add the length and fullness. I had no trouble using the brush to build up the lashes. This is as good as Hypnose and better than Clarins, in my opinion. It gives me fluttery, long, full, lush, real looking lashes and they are not spiky. If this one dries out too soon like the last one I will keep buying them until they are discontinued!
Update Feb 18/18: Yep, discontinued – all of Gosh, in the stores that carried it here. I bought up some of their stuff but it’s old stock and I don’t hold out much hope for this one when I open it…
Update Nov. 18/15: I have to lower my rating again. This is a pain to use because of the weirdly irregular brush. The results are stunning lashes, but I don’t like hazardous implements near my eyes. I rarely use it because it is so tricky. I can’t really recommend it. I am sticking with mascaras that have a symmetrical brush.
Update May 8/16: of all the pictures I took, this one gave the most stunning lashes. Too bad it’s such a pain to use. It is still in my top ten list of all time great mascaras.
Update Nov 8/17: I’m reading my old reviews to give updates, and this review makes me want to buy it again. I think they still make it. The way I see it now, complaining about the brush being difficult to use is irrelevant if the results are wonderful. In fact I said the results were stunning so I’m definitely going to get this again.
Update July 15/19: Obviously I stopped using this when it was discontinued. But in reviewing my old photos the only one that gave me more perfect lashes was Big Fatty Lashes. I still am amazed when I see how long and full this made my lashes.

I’ll preface by saying that even though I stated no to repurchasing this product, I’d consider repurchasing if there’s a sale and I needed a new mascara.
It’s actually not a bad mascara.
The GOSH line has a handful of mascaras in its line and they’re primarily volumizing and the names seem to make the consumer believe that they will give amazing va va voom lashes.
The Darling Lashes mascara is supposed to give extreme volume but it’s actually more of a lengthening mascara.
Pros:
Creamy formula that isn’t too wet
Goes on smoothly and coats lashes evenly
Build nice length and thickness can be built with layers and with minimal clumping
Unique brush has two types of bristles: one side has open bristles (they look like teeth) and this is for length. The other side has the traditional bristles meant for volume.
I actually like this concept as I can control the length and build the volume as I’d like.
Lasts all day without smudging or flaking, yet I’m able to remove it with my regular eye makeup remover. No need for an oil based remover. (I can’t use oil based removers as I’m prone to styes)
Cute packaging
Cons:
A bit of an odd scent; hard to describe but a slight ‘chemical’ slight. I have sensitive eyes and I have this quirk with mascaras whereby I’ll smell the formula. If there’s a noticeable scent, I know it will probably irritate my eyes.
This one doesn’t but YMMV.
Doesn’t give the lush lashes that I like so if you want dramatic lashes, this one isn’t for you
Rather pricey for a drugstore mascara although the price is comparable to L’oreal mascaras
