After so many years of trying different mascaras, this is still one of my favourites. Keep in mind that this does not work very well on its own, but when used on top of a volumizing mascara, you can get dramatically long lashes. It is easy to get spider legs from this mascara because of all the fiber, so the application does take practice. My biggest gripe is how fast it dries up, so one tube does not last very long at all.

Got this in a Za makeup set that comes with the glitter eyeshadow and free mirror + curler. The eyelash curler was great, but the mascara had failed to impress. The fibres in the mascara did lengthen my lashes quite a bit but did not do anything to volumize them at all! I have very thin and straight Asian lashes, so it just made them look very long and thin.
Also, I have very watery eyes and the fibres/formula in the mascara irritated them (especially when I yawn), and created dark smudges under my lashes after some time.
In all, I will not repurchase. MM’s lash expander frame plus achieves the same effects without irritating my eyes/smudging, and also imparts some volumizing effect that this mascara fails to do, so I’ll stick to that instead.

Lengthens lashes with the fibre and holds curl from using an eyelash curler. Makes the eyelashes look more dramatic. I have very oily lids and most mascaras give me panda eyes but this one did not smudge at all. I really like it. It is harder to remove compared to other mascaras I’ve tried. I use cleansing oil on a cotton pad, gently hold down on my lashes and then slowly open my eye so that the cotton pad wipes off the fibre from the lashes. A repurchase item for me.

It contains fiber to lengthen lashes. The fibers irritated my eyes so I stopped using it. It does give longer lashes that looks like false eyelashes.

My lashes: Asian – thick, dark, straight, short
Packaging: Small slim black tube. Great for purses and travel.
Pros: Looks like my natural lashes but tinted black, holds curl, no smudging, no flaking, removes easily with cleanser, no clumping
Cons: Not lengthening, no volume

Before this I was using Fasio and Canmake. I decided to try this cause I had discount vouchers to spend on cosmetics. I’ve always loved Japanese mascaras. Since Za is by Shiseido, I bought the longlash and volume. I like its compact tube which is good for traveling. The lengthening effect is pretty good. It doesn’t stiffen the lashes like Fasio and it’s much easier to remove than Fasio. But it isn’t waterproof. So far it hasn’t smudged on me. The application is a breeze. It isn’t dramatic and I can wear this to work or for casual events. I prefer Canmake over this but for the price, this one’s cheaper. Canmake separates and curls the lashes, and finishes much cleaner. As for Za longlash, I have to be careful not to overdo or I’ll get globs of mascara on my lashes.

This is my HG mascara!
Finally a mascara that lengthens and stays on throughout the day in spite of the humid tropical weather. I usually rub or touch my eyes, but I haven’t any trouble with smudged mascara. I tend to tear with most mascaras or grow some mini pimples on the edges of my eyelids (prob some allergic reaction on my part), but with this sweetie, I have been fine.
As with most waterproof mascaras, I use an oil based cleanser to get rid of it. Using some organic jojoba oil to remove it. Didn’t have eye lashes falling out with this mascara.
I didn’t have any issue with the mascara flaking on me as per the comments of other users. I wonder if it’s due to the frigging humidity here too. Maybe…
I hope there are other MUAers out there who can enjoy this darling too. 🙂

when they said long lash, they sure meant it.
i have dark, thick and decently long lashes. i am looking for something that gives a little curl and a little more ‘oomph’. this mascara gave my lashes extra length, almost to the point of over doing it. if it weren’t for my natural lash volume, i would probably be left with skinny-stick lashes, but i wasn’t, thank god.
i liked the brush, it was easy to use, and the package was cute and small. the main problem was that this mascara flaked really badly and i was left with black flecks arround my eye by the end of the day.
when it came in contact with water, it didn’t run, which i liked. i am constantly rubbing/touching my eyes, yet it didn’t smudge, which i was pleased about. it left my lashes soft and supple, just like it said on the packaging, yet another plus. a real shame about the flaking, i was actually rather liking it.
decent for its damn-cheap price. if they improved on it ever so slightly, i’d definately re-buy.

Really Nothing Special About This Mascara!!! I don’t like what i see and it’s not dramatic enough for me. It’s just your normal bland and basic mascara. Nothing special unlike Maybelline XXL or Fasio that will cause some effect, this flake on me and clump as well, i’ll pass this one on.
