I loved the colour of the tester a LOT – beautiful, slightly metallic purple. But turns out it only looks good in the tube – on my lashes you can barely see it, even with a primer and many many layers of this mascara. Perhaps if you have very light lashes it will show better but on darker ones it’s almost invisible. Also, no extra length or volume so a total waste of money…

Seriously you need to understand that purple mascara does not equate to false bright purple lashes. If you get that concept, then this product won’t disappoint you.
It’s makes my lashes very verrrry purple, i do have to apply a few coats but that’s normal with mascara. Actually I was surprised at how purple they look. However because of the colour being *not black* or the actual formula itself, it doesn’t lengthen or volumise. So it failed big time.
It’s nice for a change when I want purple lashes instead of the harsher black. I like the look, and if you have green eyes *this* makes your eyes pop! And it was cheap.
But apart from the colour its crap.

Don’t waste your time or $ girls. Thank gawd Utla takes returns. There’s no payback with the purple or blue colors.
However after returning them I did try the Benefit blue mascara which seems pretty good. Might go back and purchase it. Pricey but it works.

Bought two of these, the blue and purple.
They are too runny for my preference. Colour pigmentation is average, acceptable. Yet it doesn’t lengthen, volumize, just plain mascara, if you have naturally gifted long beautiful lashes, this would be good. Unfortunately I am not, so would prefer something that could help a bit.
I don’t wear false lashes so It doesn’t help, for those who wear false eyelashes, the blue could be a good choice as the colour is beautiful but not the purple one, the purple is too subtle it is just like black but isn’t too black. when I wear color mascara I want it to stand out and WOW. To me what is the point of wearing a colour mascara when it looks like just a light black.
average product.

Not a fan. Too liquidy and not as pigmented as I had hoped. I got the light green and it was aweful. I am not against trading it in for another color try.

I got this is the deeper purple shade and I like it. It takes a few coats to get the desired color but it does work. I like that it does not dry too fast allowing me time to get my double lashes shaped and defined without clumps. When it dries it does not feather and stays put until I take it off. The color is similar to Chanel’s purple mascara that I usually get but it is quite a bit thinner. I recommend if you are on a budget and want a colored mascara.

I wanted to get colored mascaras for days when I don’t want to do my eye makeup but still want them to pop a bit. These NYX coloured mascaras barely show up on their own. You can maybe see them under certain lights, but in natural daylight, they are barely detectable. The only way to have it show up is to apply a white coloured base (mascara, primer eyeliner etc), let that dry and then apply the colored mascara on top. It’s cumbersome to do that since these colored mascaras take a while to dry. They also don’t do much for your lashes in terms of lengthening or voluminizing.
Also, while the color may look beautiful and rich when first applied, as it dries, it darkens (which is why they don’t show up much on the lashes). Pretty disappointed. It’s also not that cheap. $9.99cdn.
MAC used to have colored mascaras that showed up very well. They have since been discontinued… i should have bought back ups of those! They costed about $11 which was a steal!
***UPDATE*** this mascara is the culprit for making my eyes sore and irritated. Definitely would not repurchase again… I wish I could return it. >_<"

I saw swatches of this online and decided it’d be fun to try the Perfect Pear, which is a light, bright pale green — kind of the color of a Granny Smith and a Golden Delicious apple, combined.
I like the skinny brush, which makes it easy to apply to lower lashes. This shade definitely is noticeable on lashes. I tend to use it only on lower lashes, as it had kind of a cool brightening effect, but it’s a bit too intense for top lashes, especially if they’re not curled perfectly — then it looks like a mess. But it’s noticeable, provides length and volume, and it lasts. It lasts a bit too well, in fact. I have tried to take it off with The Body Shop’s chamomile butter and oil cleansers, and even letting it soak on for three or so minutes, it still lingers and needs more work to remove. (Usually I can get any eye makeup off with Body Shop cleansing butters.)
But it’s a fun way to play with color a bit, and I’m thrilled that I have a brightly colored mascara that I can apply and actually see on my lashes.

I bought the blue shade of this mascara back in October and I love it.It gives some volume and lenght and the blue color shows up very nice on my dark brown lashes.I bought the purple shade months later and it doesn’t show up any purple color at all! I have the lavender shade and that doesn’t show p at all either plus the company now unfortunately changed the former great brush and now it’s a skinny plastic brush! I don’t know if they are still using the same old brush in the blue and purple shades now,but the new colors like the lavender have this new cr*ppy brush.

I really did not enjoy this mascara. I purchased both the violet and the blue colors. The wand is one of those spiral bristle types that just picks up way too much product. I have naturally full, long, curly lashes and this mascara made them clump up so horribly that it looked like I have zero lashes. The colors are also indistinguishable. Even up close, you can’t tell that there is any color on the lashes. It transfers to the eyelid when applying it, and it takes FOREVER to dry. If you wear this, don’t you dare yawn because if your eyes water this mascara will immediately stream down your face. I would say absolutely avoid this product, it is not worth the money.
