Very wet and goopy. Wand comes out with too much product leading to drying edges on the bottle. Eyelashes are okay. Just nothing to write home about.

I love Clinique mascaras because their brushes are so nice and separates my eye lashes one by one, never flaking. Super plus point to being very easy to wash off. I simply wash my face and stay under water for 30 seconds and the mascara washes off itself, i never have to roughly clean – so never lose a lash! I love this product and finishing my 4th one!

Ineffective mascara. Better at thickening than lengthening – in fact doesn’t lengthen my lashes at all. I am not a fan of these plastic brushes – I like the classic brushes better.
Smudges a bit – nothing terrible. Would definitely pass up as almost every other mascara I’ve ever tried ha been better than this one.
I love Clinique’s skin care and blush but most of their make up has been a miss for me.

the texture looks very dry and the color is a bit of a duller black, very clumpy looking and spidery looking. It does thicken lashes but not very lengthening and hard to layer coats between coats and lashes dont look even or hold curled lashes up well

I finally bought this in Black Honey after a long time of having it on my wishlist. I should have bought it sooner, I really love it! Being a fair redhead I dislike black mascara (too harsh on my skin tone). It’s funny, when I wear it with red/pink looks I don’t notice the color. But when I wore it with brown shadow the other day I totally noticed the burgundy color! Anyway, I do feel that the package could be improved. I don’t love the brush style, but I can manage. Do note this is like many mascaras these days where way too much comes out on the brush. If I didn’t AGGRESSIVELY wipe off the brush, I would consider this unusable (too clumpy, would create one giant lash). But once I get it good and wiped, I do feel it goes on very nicely, creating length and separation, although not so much volume. But that is just the look I like! I had been having trouble with my old mascara smudging, even if I skipped my lower lashes. I love that this doesn’t smudge on me! I went to Sephora to order more, and it’s now out of stock — I really hope it returns in this color.

I just came to the end of my trial size tube and all I can say is…meh.
This mascara is ok but doesn’t have much going on for the price. I don’t prefer the big barrel style brush with spindly applicators. It doesn’t do much to smooth out the parts of my lashes that can look sparse or clumped together. It also wasn’t very volumizing, it was a very laid back look.
No flaking.
Not memorable and glad to be moving on.

I have been using Clinique mascaras since I was in high school. I used to get cystic acne, so my Mom insisted that I use only Clinique makeup. Clinique was known to be the least irritating makeup around. It has tried to maintain that claim, but, in the case of this mascara…ouch!! I purchased this because I LOVE mascara in the Black Honey color. I’ve been buying Black Honey over the years, every time its offered, and I’m always frustrated that they don’t make it regularly available. (Mascara lasts only 3 months after all!) This time, the formula in which they chose to offer Black Honey is “Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara”. Clinique’s always been pretty literal in chosing product names, and this is no exception. It fattens eyelashes by leaving a plumping coating over on them, and it lengthens as well. The brush is as long as my eye, making it a little awkward to use. The bristles are sharp, and they can scratch unless I apply the mascara very slowly. The beautiful Black Honey brings out emerald in my eyes, but I wouldn’t want to use Chubby Lash in any other color with this brush. Chubby Lash does give me beautiful, long lashes! The downfall…after about 4 hours, my eyes begin to sting. The stinging makes them water, and the watering makes the mascara run. The mascara running into my eyes makes my eyes water more, and I begin to look like I have purpley bruises under my swelling eyes. None of Clinique’s other mascaras have ever irritated my eyes, including those that came in Black Honey. (I remember High Impact had Black Honey and it was lovely). I am going to try to use up this mascara and hope Clinique will use Black Honey in its other mascaras in the future. I’m not going to spend money on a product that’s uncomfortable to wear. So disappointing because I love the way this looks.

One of my favourite mascaras! I love the shape of the brush and how thin and precise it is. This mascara makes my lashes look extremely long. The only con I have is that sometimes the brush picks up too much product but that’s an easy fix as I can just wipe off the excess. This also does not run or smudge on me and I have oily skin.

Ok, I usually rely on gift with purchase and use the
house brand mascara forever and a day. When I
received Clinique’s Chubby Lash mascara, I was
impressed from the very first application. I like the brush it is large and full of bristles. I have purchased it and plan to make it my go to mascara. The only complaint I have is I prefer a black brown mascara I purchased the Ebony, not my first choice but the
product goes on well and the brush helps to separate the lashes. Really love this mascara for me it does not smear and looks great at the end of my day.

This is just an OK mascara, and it tends to smudge by the end of the day. Since I rarely have time to check my face during the day, this is a problem. Overall, its not outstanding and there are better drug store mascaras for less.
