I saw this mascara for sale at £12.99 in TKmax so thought I’d try it in black. While waiting for delivery I read these reviews and didn’t expect to be impressed…however, I am! I started by applying the brush as close as possible to base of lashes and pulling up slowly while twisting. It immediately separated and spread the lashes. I have quite sparse short lashes, so first impression was that I liked the way it fanned them out. After doing this a couple of times I used the thicker end to build more length and volume. I have to say I really like this mascara. Thinking of buying another at that price but not sure if it will dry out before this one runs out. I put this one at a close second to my favourite Chanel Le Volume mascara. I think with most, it’s in the application. Patience a virtue for more oopmph. A quick application for a more subtle day look. In all, very happy.
Update..it has held shape and curl all day despite not using eyelash curler. No flaking or smudging.

The best mascara ever. It can be applied in many layers.

I got this from Nordstrom Rack. It looks like a lot of stores are not carrying Burberry makeup lately. Not sure where you could see the line in person these days.
I got this in the black color. The packaging is fantastic. Feels heavy, expensive and the plaid print is a nice touch.
Unfortunately, I found the brush bristles to be too short and the formula too ‘wet’. This made it very prone to apply too much to your lashes and lashes to clump together. Even with a light touch, you find yourself having to press heavier and get closer to the lashes since the brushes are so short they don’t coat the lashes well and inevitably you end up with mascara on your skin — and this formula is not easy to wipe off.
Otherwise the formula itself is quite nice, just on the ‘wet’ side. It lengthens a bit but not a volumizing mascara. No eye irritation, some flaking at the end of the day. I don’t think this is waterproof but had no issues with a bit of sweat/oil.

No.3 Midnight Blonde is very nice greyish brown, if usual black mascaras are too bold for your color type.
I don’t like the cubic packaging, it’s very long and big for only 7ml of product, and its sharp edges are unpleasant to touch and almost cutting a hole in my cosmetic bag..
As a fond of classic straight fiber wands (which I can press to the side when opening the mascara to remove excess), I absolutely HATE this plastic one. There is always too much product and the bristles are too sparse and make clumps.
So I have to keep this mascara at home and use it with other old mascara’s wand. What a pity, because the stuff inside seems good and easy to work with, is not too dry or thick.

I found the product nice. But its packaging is not safe. As of other products from Customboxeszone

I was excited to try it, as I saw all this raving reviews. But unfortunately I do not think this mascara is so good.
I got mine in black, which is not a deep black colour, but rather black with some hints of grey\green\brown.
The packaging is really nice – you can open and close it without any issues. The mascara itself is rather thin and wet, and smells a bit like perfumes, which bothered me at first, but then I got used to it. It did not irritate my eyes or skin – I feel very comfortable when wearing it.
In general it stays on whole day as long as it is fresh. When it starts getting older and drier, staying power is not so impressive – I could see some black dots and marks all-over my eyelids. I know, they are oily, but many mascaras can resist it.
And the final thing – the brush. I hate it. If the brush would be different, I would rate it min. 4 stars, but this brush was killing each morning. I could not find the method to get the right amount of mascara to transfer with brush to my lashes. It’s not the problem of the brush is getting too much product, no – it is the issue of how the brush delivers the product to your lashes. This “how” changes even with a slight change of the way you keep the wand or in an angle the brush follows the lash line.
So very often I had to fiht spider legs and clumps, so, no – thank you. I will try to fins something different.

This has become my holy grail mascara! It separates and lengthens beautifully. A second coat bumps up the volume nicely. I love everything about it. The black is nice and the chestnut is amazing. Of course the packaging is very sleek and lux. A bit pricey but I can live with it. It’s the bomb!

Got a deluxe sample of this in a holiday type of kit and I was not expecting much. Another day, another mascara, was my initial thought. It really was not even pulling me to even try this. But try it I did, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This does not clump for me, I can apply layer after layer and still get no clumping. This does not flake or smudge nor smear for me, nothing bad. Applies really easily. Washes off easily. Lasts a good 12 hours or more for me. Very impressed and even ‘wowed’ by this. Definitely putting this on my wishlist to purchase, but first have this and many other mascaras to work through. But definitely plan on getting a full-size of this, at some point. Oh and no eye irritation (I do not wear contacts, but every once in a while a mascara will still irritate my eyes) from this for me.
Just a pleasure to apply and I even forget that I am wearing mascara, no matter how many layers/coats I apply.

This is a pretty good mascara for a natural or professional look. The formula holds up well during a normal workday. It isn’t waterproof so it won’t survive a swim. If you are looking for brown or dark blonde mascara, Burberry Cat Lashes comes in those rare colors. I can only think of one other brand that makes light mascara shades, Just for Redheads. However, this Burberry offering didn’t impress me enough to justify the high price.
PROS:
1) For those who want an alternative to black mascara, this one comes in Chestnut Brown and Midnight Blonde in addition to Jet Black.
2) I get good separation from this. It builds volume where the brush happens to be full. It builds decent length.
3) I haven’t experienced flaking, clumping, or smudging with this particular mascara. It didn’t smudge even when I used it on the lower lashes as well.
4) It does not contain fragrance to irritate my sensitive eyes or bother my nose.
5) Does a fair job of holding a curl.
6) Doesn’t make lashes feel brittle or crunchy.
7) Burberry’s packaging is sleek and fancy compared to drugstore mascaras…but it also costs four or five times as much.
8) Because this is not a waterproof mascara, it doesn’t require a special makeup remover. It will wash off easily with most face cleansers.
CONS:
1) I don’t like the hourglass shape of the brush. The brush builds volume on the ends where the bristles are full but there is an odd depression in the middle. I much prefer the bushy brush in Charlotte Tilbury’s Full Fat Lashes Mascara. The gimmicky brush in Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara is somewhat annoying and I don’t think the dip in the middle of the brush makes eyes look catlike.
2) $29 is expensive, especially when you consider that you’re supposed to replace your mascara after a few months.
3) I have to use a lash primer under it if I want to get dramatic volume and length. That’s not necessarily a deal-breaker, but for the money I was expecting more oomph.
In summary, this mascara has a nice formula, but not a groundbreaking one, and it performs well, but I’d like to change the brush, I wish it were less expensive, and it’s not a cruelty free brand. For $29, this should be amazing, but it didn’t thrill me. However, it’s worth a look for natural blondes who don’t want their mascara to be black, and don’t mind spending extra to get a lighter lash color.
