It’s really just a meh product. The only benefit is that is doesn’t clump. I only ever use it for bottom lashes or I’m my mascara is clumping. It really is a horrible mixture. It’s super thick and does not plump lashes much at all. I would not buy this again. A nice mascara for much cheaper is the voluminous by L’oreal. I’ve tried a lot of mascaras, but that one stays my favorite.

Upon first application, this mascara gives a nice, subtle definition. The formula is not clumpy, it’s very thin and easy to apply. The brush makes lashes slightly longer and grabs each one. But it does not last!!!!!!!!! I was so disappointed by the performance of this mascara, that I called the BE customer service number. The rep told me I could try a lash primer for additional hold but…I’m a mom of two young children. Are you kidding me? I barely have enough time to put on the mascara let alone another add another step. The mascara should stand on its own without additional product! So suffice to say I HATE this mascara! It is not worth the nearly $20! The formula looks great for about half an hour or so but after that your lashes will look BARE. Don’t waste your money!!!

This is a great mascara, but it is pricey. I have the Volumizing one and I can see alot of definition with this product. It is not a HG of Life Mascara, but a good one. I just wish it was not $18.00. The Rocket my Maybelline is better and it is under $10.00.

I got this product from a Bare Minerals wedding beauty kit. I was really excited because I was looking for a mascara for my upcoming wedding that would hold through the ceremony (I’m a cryer). Literally as I apply a second coat of this stuff, the mascara flakes all over my cheeks. It washes off pretty easily so I don’t know how waterproof it really is. As I apply the mascara, it clumps up on my eyes. I don’t have enough time to play with the mascara as I normally would like to. The wand also gets mascara all over my eyelids. I just don’t trust that this stuff will hold up through the night; I’m back to looking for a really good waterproof cruelty-free mascara.
Update:
I ended up not having time to get a new mascara before my wedding, so I wore this one with fingers crossed. It actually held up really well! I was completely surprised. I practiced applying the mascara and finally figured out the technique to not get it all over the place or make it flake off. I added one lipstick to the rating because it actually is a good waterproof mascara that will last through an outdoor wedding in humid southern Louisiana. Pretty impressive. However, I still just don’t like the mascara. I hate applying it. It shouldn’t be as difficult or labor intensive as it makes it. the mascara makes my lashes clump together and pin straight. So, I end up having to comb out my lashes after applying and kind of work my lashes where I want them. I have never used any other mascara that required that much work to get my lashes to look nice.

Did nothing for my lashes. Formula was so dry that I had trouble figuring out if any mascara actually made it onto my lashes. When I noticed the severe smudging, I realized that I was indeed wearing mascara; just not on my lashes. Very disappointed and will not purchase again.

I really love this mascara! It separates my lashes so good! It makes them look soooo long! I would like it to make my lashes darker and more noticeable though (definition), which I suppose defeats the purpose of the name, overall I love and would certainly buy again.

I have pretty oily lids and most mascaras smudge on me quite often after an hour or two wear and give me pretty prominent raccoon eyes. This one doesn’t. If I wear it on my top lashes, it’s smudge proof all day long. If I wear it on my bottom lashes, it smudges ever so slightly. The design of this wand helps to separate my lashes beautifully, extending their length as well as adding some volume without looking spidery or unnatural. I would absolutely purchase again after I run out.

I was looking for a waterproof mascara for an upcoming trip. Ulta didn’t have the Lancôme I usually use. I should have left and went to Sephora. I decided to try this because I like most of the Bare Minerals makeup. This mascara is waterproof and it will last. However, my lashes looked spiky and clumpy. Not the look I was going for. I wanted full, long, separate lashes. It was much cheaper than the two other mascaras I usually use, but now I know why.

OMG really?? I hated this mascara soooo much. It did absolutely nothing to my lashes!! The brush for this mascara is very fat, fluffy even, and soft. Which I’d imagine to be amazing, but unfortunately it seemed as if NO product was on this mascara. It literally added NOTHING to my lashes. Sorry Bare Escentuals, it’s gone to the trash.
