This is a great dupe for Maybelline Full n’ Soft Waterproof if you live in the UK. It’s £8, which is a bit cheaper than most drugstore mascaras, and it’s a great mascara for those who have lashes that can’t hold a curl. It doesn’t smudge, flake, or irritate my eyes, which is sadly quite remarkable for me when it comes to purchasing mascaras. The brush doesn’t poke my eye and does a good job of separating my lashes – no clumps here!
I can’t say that it volumizes all that much, but it does lengthen my lashes quite well. It’s not as fantastic as say, Heroine Kiss Me Long & Curl, but the benefits of this mascara is that you can find this at your local Boots instead of waiting two weeks’ of shipping from Japan. Plus, it is waterproof and you can certainly wear this to a sad movie, a pool, or the beach. Make sure you remove it with an oil based makeup remover!
For those who already have naturally full and curly lashes that can stand on its own, you might be more inclined to check out the non waterproof version of this mascara: Max Factor 2000 Calorie, a cult classic if I ever saw one.

I have re-bought this mascara quite a few times now, and would recommend it.
The brush makes it easy to keep your lashes separated while applying product, without being in danger of either stabbing yourself in the eye, or ruining your eyeshadow. The formula is good and doesn’t tend to migrate from my lashes until about the 8 hour mark (which is longer than the vast majority of drugstore mascaras that I have used).
I have also not experienced the product drying prematurely in the tube and becoming unusable – which is also something that has happened with other, even higher end, mascaras.

Bought this mascara because it was on sale and used it for a couple weeks. I noticed that this mascara weighs down my lashes and doesn’t hold the curl well. Which is really bad since most waterproof mascaras are able to hold the curl, that’s also the reason why I buy waterproof mascaras! This mascara doesn’t seem to do a great job on adding volume or lenghtening my lashes either. Overall, I think it’s a decent mascara if your lashes are already curly and full to begin with. The price is very reasonable. But if you have straight asian lashes, use Maybelline waterproof mascaras instead!

This really doesn’t do anything for my eyelashes. It doesn’t lengthen, add volume or curls them. It does make my eyelashes black and it doesn’t smudge.

Oh my God! I really forgot I had it. Best mascara. Hold the curl, volumize, does not smudge or make the lashes look spiky fake. It’s what I want Le volume de Chanel, Too faced mascaras, etc to be. Love it!!!

I only use this mascara to add a top coat to non waterproof mascaras as it doesn’t clump. I also use it on my bottom lashes. It neither lengthens nor thickens my top lashes. If you naturally have long lashes it might work for you, but it doesn’t work for me.

I keep going back to this mascara and I don’t know why I keep trying others. I have tried other mascaras like Dior Iconic Waterproof, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Waterproof, Clinique High Impact, Urban Decay Perversion…..just to name a few specific high-end mascaras that I have tried and have been disappointed. I wish I saved my money and just kept buying this mascara.
This mascara IS waterproof which a big plus in my book and this mascara CAN HOLD A CURL! Finally! This mascara is already on good terms with me just by doing those two things. Other things it does is give me some length, not so much volume and this mascara is not prone to clumping so easily. The formula is a true black color, and has a drier consistency and not so goopy. The mascara wand is a traditional mini spoolie that is the perfect size for my eye. I think many mascara companies always think bigger is better and come out with monstrous wands that are ridiculous to use; It’s just gimmicky. Last but not least about this mascara, it does not cost a fortune and can be bought locally. I do live in Switzerland and I know this is not in the US. Still, I highly suggest ordering this. Will buy again.

I love to wear a single layer of this to the gym because it just will not budge. Like seriously, I have to massage my eye area with coconut oil for over a minute to get this mascara to come off.
The formula is quite dry, but it is excellent for building layers without clumping.
I’m not a fan of the brush. It’s too large to allow precise control.
EDIT: After ignoring this mascara for while, I have started using it again. I hate it. It smells gross, it gets everywhere (a real pain if I don’t notice until it dries because it won’t budge), and it is still nearly impossible to remove. I’ve noticed that since it’s such a long lasting formula, it tends to make my poor eyelashes snap or fall out. It would be a fantastic mascara for swimming, or crying for three hours straight. I find that it doesn’t do much for volume or length.

Probably my holy grail mascara. Used to think it was Barry M Lash Vegas in waterproof, but I realised that it was clumping my lashes together and making things harder for me, and it wasn’t anything like as waterproof as this one.
The packaging is cute, in my opinion. Not too blingy, but you can recognise it from the metallic blue on black in even a huge make up bag (I should know, don’t judge me).
For the most part, it separates lashes really well. I usually find that plastic bristles are what separate my lashes the best, so there’ll be the odd two lashes stuck together, but tweezers sort that out easily.
The wand isn’t some crazy shape or size, so you don’t poke yourself in the eye with massive bubbles or weird twists where there usually aren’t any. Maybe it could taper down towards the front to make it a little easier to get into the inner corner when applying, but I don’t find it hard to get in there anyway, because the wand isn’t huge by any means.
The formula is the most waterproof thing I’ve ever come across. I have combination oily skin, oily lids, eyes that water, allergies that make my eyes water even more, and a tendency to cry when I think about the cats I could have. Two coats of this mascara, and literally all of those factors could happen to me in the exact same minute, and this product would not budge. On top of all that, due to being cursed with ruler straight lashes that will only change with the aid of the Diorshow Heat Curl heated lash curlers, I need mascara to not flake off while I am burning my lashes into curls every morning. Barry M Lash Vegas Waterproof did. Max Factor 2000 Calorie Waterproof has not. I need this mascara to stay put until I evict it from my eyes, since I’m incredibly picky about them being curled for the gods. Towards the evening, Barry M Lash Vegas Waterproof would start to droop, as does every other mascara. Max Factor 2000 Calorie Waterproof just will not droop. I type this review at 10:30PM, having put make up on at 8:00AM, and my lashes are still performing at 100%.
I would recommend baby oil for taking this off if you’re in a rush, or you have sensitive eyes, because, being so waterproof, it does take some work to remove.
All in all, I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s made my life a lot easier, and it’s several less things to worry about during my day.
