Bought an xobeauty Flat Top brush for my foundation. I bought it $32 I believe? (around there) and did not realised that the price has gone up accordingly to facebook reviews on their website. Price factor wise is a bit pricey because the brand is known to market itself as affordable particularly for New Zealanders (as we live so far away and makeup products are expensive to us compared to the rest of the world) accordingly to the owner Shaaanxo. Anyways, worth a try. Washed it upon receiving it in my parcel. Felt amazingly soft. No fallouts upon first wash to get rid of the manufacturers dust grim. Used it on my foundation and had to work it on my skin even when buffing cos there are some streaks. Not bad, pretty good. Felt easy to use after a few times. And my foundation application was quick, no time wasting for rushed mornings! Not sure how Shaaanxo manages to do it so flawlessly on youtube.
And I may repurchase this or I would just get another brush perhaps from when I’m overseas, from well-known brands like Bobbi Brown (an example) but overall, I’m happy!

I bought this after watching Shaaanxo youtube tutorials. Her foundation always looks spotless, and I was looking for a flat top brush. I live in canada and sigma is not super available, so I decided to go for it.
It cost around $60 for 2, and it arrived after 2 weeks approximately.
I have to say I’m disappointed. The handle is thick but feels very light. The bristles are a bit longer than expected, and it’s a big brush head. It applied my makeup reasonably well, but the brush felt dirty after 1 use. I usually clean them daily, but I don’t always feel that I have to – I did with this one. It also didn’t hold it’s shape well with use. Overall, I felt it was overpriced for the non impressive quality.
I ordered Zoeva’s version, again 2 which came to about $55 including shipping. These are SOO much better. No comparison. Already gave away my xobeauty brushes.

This is Shannonxo (You tube guru) favourite brush for applying liquid foundation with and of the three brushes I purchased this one is my favourite. I basically brought it because of her recommendation and also other fab review on the brushes. Shannon created this line due to the fact that really good makeup brushes can be on the costly side for us in NZ. xo Beauty provides professional and affordable brushes and is a great substitute for Mac & Bobbi brown ones in my opinion.
This brush is super soft and the handle is perfectly sized to aid precise application. I have cut my foundation application time in half with the purchase of this brush. I apply foundation by buffing the product around my face and then using stippling motions to work it into the skin. I found the brush provided better coverage and blended my product in so well. This is the first stippling brush I’ve owned and it’s safe to say that I love this one.
Tips: Buy the xo beauty set which comes with four face brushes and is $80 or each brush can be purchased individually for $26. Each of these brushes are absolutely amazing for liquid, cream and powder products making them perfect for applying foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, highlighter and really any other face product you can think of.
