I actually have the Zoeva Makeup Artist Zoe Bag but wanted to put this under a general Zoeva review instead of brush-by-brush. No, I’m not a professional MUA, but I do love makeup and have never had a nice brush collection. When I finally got into more high end makeup a few years ago I was paying so much for great products but applying them with a mix of mediocre brushes. I splurged on this and am so happy I did!
The Artist Zoe Bag comes with 25 brushes in a nice black leather-like case that is quite large. I can see using it for long trips but it’s too big for me for weekend trips. The brushes themselves look and feel very nice with a black slightly shimmery handle that is weighted well, a silver ferrule, and soft bristles. I do not use all 25 on a regular basis but I like having options.
The ones I use the most/quick rundown:
The buffing brushes, the stippling brushes for cream blushers and sometimes foundation depending on the coverage I want, all the eye brushes (and most of them can multi-task), and the large powder brush. The highlighter brush is perfect for precise placement. The blush brush is a great size and I use it daily. Most blush brushes I’ve had are too large and fluffy for my smallish cheeks but this one has a great shape and picks up just the right amount of product. The large fluffy powder brush is so soft and gives a nice sheer application. The concealer buffer and larger version of it, the face shape brush, are both great for blending out cream concealers or small areas of foundation. The only brushes I don’t use regularly are the Luxe Face Definer and the Face Paint. The Luxe Face Definer is similar to the powder brush but with a pointier tip and I just don’t have much use for it. I might in the summer though when I tend to apply bronzer more often. The Face Paint is nice to use for contouring (I use MAC powder contour) but I don’t do that daily so it doesn’t get much use.
Overall I highly recommend these brushes. They look and feel nice, wash well with minimal staining to the white bristles, do not shed much if at all, and are well constructed. Out of all 25 brushes none of the ferrules were loose and even after the first wash hardly had shedding. After 3 months of daily use and weekly washing they still look as great as when they first arrived in my mailbox.
With shipping to the USA, which took about a month, I think I paid just over $200 for the entire set. I can tell these will last me a long time with proper care so to me this is a great value.
UPDATE: I have now had these brushes for over a year and use them very regularly. They have started to shed a bit but not very bad. I was them every few weeks with a gentle cleanser, shake out the water, reshape the bristles, and use a brush holder to dry them upside with a brush guard on top to keep the bristles in shape. So far so good and still very happy with this purchase!

the brushes are AHHHHMAZING ! They are very elegant and chic, super soft , they don’t shed and they make the application very easy plus they clean up very nicely without losing their shape. I became obsessed, i reach for them more than my high end brushes. To sum things up ZOEVA brushes has the best of both worlds, incredible quality exactly like high end brushes and very affordable price like drugstore ones.
The set has 18 brushes worth 40$
