Have this brush for about 3 weeks now, and find it very easy to draw a nice line with it, whilst using just a tiny bit of eyeliner

This is one of the best gel eyeliner brushes. Stiff enough to control application but still soft enough to not scratch delicate eye area. It’s the perfect length & allows for me to stipple on a super-thin line under the eye & then turn the brush on it’s side & sweep a thicker line above the eye. Pricey but worth it. BB brushes are quality brushes & last many years.

All my liner brushes came free: The Tony Moly one came with the gel liner, the Sigma E65 small angle brush is a travel-sized free gift. This Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eye liner brush came included in the gel liner set I got. I hated this brush. This takes too much product to do the same line (the brush seem to absorb product) and it takes multiple go to create a line (more than 3 times) whereas my other brushes just need about 1-2 strokes to show a clean defined line while using less product. The brush gives a smudged faint line instead of the sharp distinct lines I have come to expect of gel liners due to its overly soft bristles and round blunt shape. I find it difficult to create a thin precise flick which I like or tightline my eyes.
I would suggest spending your money on cheaper brushes like those from Sigma.

I’m giving this brush a tentative four lipsticks given the previous reviewers have mentioned fraying within a month’s time.
I bought two of these ultra fine eye liner brushes (I don’t like using the same brush for different gel liner shades) and so far they’re holding up.
I like the fine point tip of the brush which helps with precision along the lash line and I can do a winged eye look with ease.
The bristles are very firm and dense which is expected for this sort of brush.
While I don’t think you need to spend huge dollars on makeup brushes, this brush isn’t as expensive as others and fits my maximum budget amount I’m willing to spend on brushes.
Plus with good care, makeup brushes will last for years.
If you’re wanting a quality eye liner brush and don’t mind the price tag, Bobbi Brown’s offering is a consideration.

I’ve had my brush for many years (3+ years) and I love it. I’ve never used an eye liner brush until this one and I was impressed. I think I paid $20 and I’ve gotten really good use out of it. I think it’s just gotten to the point where it’s harder to make a fine line (for wings and such) but I honestly didn’t think it would last this long.

I hate this brush so much. It is the worst eyeliner brush they could have possibly designed. It’s so thick and soft that its impossible to achieve a thin, clean line. I’m using it as a lip brush instead. le sigh.

This brush was lovely at first but started to fray quite quickly. It’s problematic because it dramatically affects the application and fails to deliver the “ultra fine” aspect of its name. I’ve had it for about three months now, and I only use it maybe once a week, so it can’t be the wear that’s causing this problem.
For an alternative gel eyeliner brush, I’d recommend the MAC 209. It’s a point rather than a flat brush, but I’ve used it with gel liners before and it’s worked loads better than this one.

I have owned my brush for more than two years and I haven’t had any of the problems other reviewers have had. The bristles are firm and lay down the gel liner very accurately and I haven’t had a problem with tugging. I don’t wear the gel liner every day, only about once a month, so I only wash the brush about that often (very gently with baby shampoo). All the bristles are still in place and the brush has kept its point very well. It comes with a disposable, protective sleeve to keep the bristles unharmed in transit; I have kept this plastic sleeve on my brush and I think that it why my brush has lasted so well. It would be nice if Bobbi Brown included a non-disposable cap to serve this purpose. The main thing I don’t like is that the handle is too long. To apply the liner, I like to get close the mirror and many times I end up hitting the end of the handle into the mirror. Thankfully that’s never resulted in poking my eye or a big, misplaced smudge of liner, but I would’ve preferred a shorter handle. Still, if needed to, I would buy this again.

This brush was good for one month, then frayed really badly. A shame because it’s expensive! I had to get a new one (a different brand) because you just can’t do fine lines with a big fat brush!

Okay, so I should not have bought this brush because I don’t really know how to use liquid eye liner and stuff, that’s why I gave it 4 stars to be fair but took one away because of ease of use. I can’t use this at all. I always end up with awkward lines so I’m giving up. I guess this is great for people that know how to work with liquid liners and brush. It was basically a waste for me, but one day maybe it will be useful.
