The hairs have quite a bit of give, since they are long and soft, so I use this brush for softening a look. I wouldn’t use this brush for detailed work. I found this brush to be perfect for blending out the edges of my cream eye shadows and for lightly patting on powder eye shadows. I have Asian mono lids, but also quite a lot of lid space and the size of this brush fits perfectly in my eye sockets. An eye blending brush (with slightly longer hairs) would do the same, however this is where the angled design of this brush is a differentiation. The brush is just dense enough to lightly pat on powder eye shadow, however I imagine this won’t work if you want to pack on a product that needs dense hairs to hold on to, like glitter. I also tried this brush to blend out my under eye concealer, but that was a bust since the hairs were too soft for this purpose and left streaks. My other Elf brushes hold up well after years of weekly washings, so I have high hopes for this one.

This is a unique brush. I wasn’t quite sure how to use it at first. I didn’t fail to notice how much pigment it picks up. I am really pleased that I bought this brush. It’s great for:
– a wash of color
– highlighting nose/brow bone/cupid’s bow
– creating a smokey eye or crease
– blending eyeshadow
You can just position the brush in a way to add color to the v of your lid. I use the same brush to blend my shadow. It’s very effective. The bristles are tightly packed. Highly recommended.

I hate this brush. It’s quite dense but its bristles are rough and scratchy.I will not repurchase.

Excellent brush from ELF! I find that it is very densely packed so it’s really good in packing on eyeshadows, contour or bronzing powder (for precise application), concealer and even foundation! I use this mainly to apply concealer and foundation, just because it is very precise and allows you to go right near to your eyes and nose area which bigger foundation brushes don’t allow you to do so. The bristles are really soft and slightly tapered. The only improvement I wish to see is that it is angled at a larger angle in a sense. 5/5 repurchase!

Love this brush! A previous reviewer mentioned the bristles are rough, but I don’t find them rough at all. I use it for contouring my nose – it’s the perfect size for it. Picked it up for about $6. I don’t use it often since contouring only happens on nights out, but so far so good.

Love this brush for blending out under eye concealer without brushing off all the product! Works perfectly! Perfect size and super soft bristles!

This is one of the few Studio line brushes I was very disappointed in. It’s marketed for applying eye shadow, but the bristles are so rough that I don’t see how that is possible. It’s also a very large brush, and although I had hopes that the wedged shape might work in new and interesting ways, all it did was apply a wash of color over the lid. Like many of the brushes from this line, the bristles are densely packed, easy to clean, don’t shed, and hold shape. As far as quality, it’s fine. As far as what it’s supposed to be used for, this did not work for me. When I use this, I use this as a cheek highlighting brush because it applies product in a nice shape and does blend out well. But for use on my eyes, no way.

I use this for contouring the cheekbones and blending out my eye shadows. It works fabulously for both and I am really glad to have such a wonderful multitasking brush! 5 stars!! 😀

Lovely brush. I use it for concealer and it has washed well throughout the last year or two with no shedding. Nice and Dense. Bargain.

I bought this brush specifically to use for undereye concealer. It’s dense enough to pick up product but fluffy enough so it won’t irritate my undereye area. The fact that it’s flat helps me buff concealer into my skin. Very useful brush! I wish it was a little more densely packed, but I’m fairly satisfied. 🙂
